With the more and more strict laws and regulations of emissions and fuel consumption,modern engine design increasingly tends to be lightweight and miniaturized,leading to the narrower engine sealing surface,specific shape,restricted sealing surface area and the bolt clamping force,which puts forward higher requirements for engine sealing technology and seaingl materials.At the same time,the users are expecting better quality of automobile products.The problem of water leakage,oil leakage and air leakage caused by untight sealing,has become the focus of users' attention.And the engine sealing performance has become one of the important indexes to evaluate the quality of the car.This project takes mass-produced engine of self-owned brand as the research object.Based on the finite element analysis of its T-joint oil sealing performance and according to the failure mechanism analysis of the motor oil leakage problems,it compares different brands of engine product sealing design,summarizes the characteristics of the current engine sealing design,and optimizes the sealing structure design of the engine in production to solve the T-joint oil leakage problem.The optimal design of the sealing structure studied in the project has been applied and has been proved effective by the test of bench durability and the analysis of the reliability of the after-sale data.
