Tanks are exposed to extensive threats in battle fields with the increasing development of modern high-tech weapons. Also, the active protective system(APS)appeared and gets rapid progress for the sake of improving tanks’ survivability.Continuous upgrade of APS make the penetration ability become a crucial factor in the preliminary design of anti-tank missile.First, this paper has made a comprehensive study of the active defense systems and anti-tank missiles, together with their correlations in the weapon technique developing process. Then on the side of APS,a hard killing APS model has been established and simulated to verify the effectiveness of the considered situation. The interception probability has been analyzed considering the influences and the interactions of optimal interception position,APS time delay, and diverse coming missiles’ velocity and attitude. On the other side of anti-tank missile, penetration ways are presented based on the proposed interception model of the hard killing APS.In addition, the application of EFP warhead is proposed to achieve long-range attack for penetration.EFP warhead penetration in the application are analyzed, and other feasible penetration measures are also introduced. Finally, based on the penetration, this paper designed a guidance law which meet the attack angle constraint.Meanwhile,in the consideration of the disturbance induced by the soft–killing APS and the autopilot of the anti-tank missile itself, the proposed guidance law has been further analyzed. Conclusions of this research in the paper are valuable to the research of tank s’ APS and anti-tank missiles’ penetration.
