As one of the most important working device, the main role of Hydraulic stretching screed of paver is the stabilized soil material or asphalt materials paving, vibration tamping, vibration compaction and leveling, which makes paving road have a certain density and evenness and gets ready for the roller's work.It is important for reducing the research and development cycle of new product and improving the performance of the screed to study the structure and design method of hydraulic stretching screed. In this paper, the working principle and the structure of the hydraulic stretching screed are introduced.Combined with the design specification of the screed, the parametric design of the hydraulic telescopic screed are carried out by means of the advanced product design tools, and the structural design of E340 hydraulic telescopic screed are completed. The screed is in dynamic equilibrium state while it is working. The screed is connected with the paver by hanging. The deformation of hydraulic stretching screed is transferred to the pavement through the screed, which affected the smoothness of the road.Under different combinations of outer diameter and the wall thickness of the hydraulic stretching screed suspension supporting cylinder, the static finite element analysis of the whole structure of the screed(including the basic section frame, the stretching section frame and the suspension structure)was carried out.The conclusions as follows: the deformation stress cloud and stress-strain data of the whole hydraulic stretching screed are obtained. The influence of the support cylinder size changes on the rigidity of the screed is analyzed from the longitudinal deformation and vertical deformation of the screed. The natural frequencies and vibration modes of E340 screed were analyzed by ANSYS software, and the working frequency range of resonance caused by vibration and tamper was also analyzed.E340 screed 1-4 frequency value and screed vibration range are overlapped,so it is easy to produce resonance vibration. As a result, vibration frequency should be set at about 30-35 Hz,which can avoid the occurrence of resonance vibration. The tamper frequency of the screed E340 is set at 30 Hz as much as possible,so that the resonance can be avoided. The harmonic response of the E340 screed model while working at the frequency of30 Hz is analyzed.Meanwhile the amplitude of the E340 screed is analyzed from thetransverse and vertical directions.Because of the two adjacent segments of the tamper device is a phase difference of 180 degrees, the two adjacent connection point of the vertical inertial force is in the opposite direction and partially the inertial force is offset, and the telescopic section on the extended force is smaller than that on the basis section. From the center of symmetry to both ends, the lateral amplitude of the screed decreases gradually, and the front longitudinal amplitude each segment(the left and right base frames, the left and right telescopic frames, the left and right extension frames)of the screed is larger than that of the back. From the lateral view, the horizontal amplitude of each section of the E340 screed(around the base section, the left and right stretching section, the left and right extension section)is more uniform, the amplitude ratio is about 1.154,and the amplitude of the base section is slightly larger at the left and the right end of the lengthened section. From a vertical point of view, the amplitude of the front section of the E340 screed(around the base section, the left and right extension section, the left and right extension section)is larger than the latter, the maximum amplitude ratio is 1.078,and the longitudinal amplitude uniformity is better.
