Application Of BIM Technology In EPC Mode

In recent years,the construction industry of our country is in the fast downward trend,the competition between enterprises intensifies,the survival situation is grim,many enterprises begin to explore advanced management mode and technology.The proportion of EPC Project Contracting mode is increasing year by day in the construction industry,the BIM technology is the "second revolution" after the construction industry is CAD,the research and application of BIM is also flourishing.But in the expansion of EPC model and BIM technology,it is found that the EPC model and BIM technology cannot be widely used,and the production efficiency of the construction industry has not changed greatly.Some enterprises apply EPC Project General contract management mode,but ignore the limitation of EPC Management mode,but the application BIM only in some stages of the project,cannot embody the advantage of BIM technical support project life cycle,and even only use BIM technology modeling to publicize,the construction industry of our country still runs according to the traditional building mode.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of EPC and BIM technology,this paper explores the advantages and limitations of EPC and BIM,and then puts forward the application of BIM technology in EPC Management mode,so that two advanced ideas can complement each other and play the biggest advantages of EPC and BIM.So as to improve the overall production efficiency of China's construction industry,so that China's construction enterprises in the international market competitive.This article mainly carries on the research to the following several questions:1.Analyzes the concept and the characteristic of EPC Project General contracting model and BIM technology,thus summarizes both superiority and the limitation.2.Explore the advantages and application value of BIM technology in the design phase,procurement stage and construction stage of EPC project.3.The advantages of BIM technology applied in EPC Project General contracting mode are analyzed with engineering example.
