The continuous girder-arch composite bridge,which absorbs the advantages of continuous girder bridge and arch bridge,is stable and graceful,therefore gradually applied in the field of railway engineering more and more.As the background engineering,the performance of a railway continuous girder-arch composite bridge is analyzed.The main works are focused on the following aspects:(1)Developments,classifications and characteristics of continuous girder-arch composite bridges are introduced.Hot topics of continuous girder-arch composite bridges are summarized.(2)A model of the whole bridge,made up by beam elements and truss elements,is simulated by MIDAS/CIVIL,particularly the arch rib is simulated by Composite Section based on construction stage.Then,deformations,stresses,internal forces and stabilities are calculated and analyzed by construction stage and service stage of the bridge.(3)Ritz method is used to calculate self-vibration characteristics of the bridge.The response of the bridge in earthquake is analyzed by methods of response spectrum and time-history.(4)Detailed simulation is established by using MIDAS/FEA,and the bottom structures of arch rib are simulated by solid elements.Stress of bottom of arch bridge is calculated under dead and live load.
