The impeller of the centrifugal pump is the most important part,and it is also the most easily worn out.The working state of the impeller directly affects the performance and efficiency of the pump product.The wear of the impeller is often encountered in the project,which leads to the failure of the pump to work normally.It causes the enterprise to stop production or the project is stagnate.Taking the worn impeller of enterprise as an example,The article puts forward a method of repairing the worn impeller through reverse engineering and laser technology.The main research contents are as follows:1)The technical route for the restoration of the impeller are put forward:First,3D laser scanner is used to collect data,and then reverse modeling is done through CATIA software to get mechanical processing data.Then laser cladding technology is used to repair impeller,and finally mechanical processing is performed to complete impeller repair.2)The method of collect impeller's structural data by the non-contact laser 3D scanner are discussed.The overall scanning and local scanning of the open impeller and the closed impeller are carried out by different alignment methods.The Point cloud data of the impeller are processed by the functions of Eliminate outliers,Remove noise?Point cloud splicing and Filling hole of Geomagic Studio software.3)The method of surface fitting of Point cloud data of the impeller by Digital Shape Editor module,Free Style module and Quick Surface Reconstruction module of CATIA software are discussed.Through Distance Analysis,Porcupine Curvature Analysis and Isophotes Mapping Analysis and other functions of CATIA,the quality of the generated curve and surface is evaluated.4)Several kinds of powder materials which is often used in laser cladding are compared.The technology of laser cladding with Ni60 A self fluxing alloy powder on the 316 L matrix which has the same material of the impeller is put forward.This process is used to repair the open impeller,and then the impeller is machined according to the data which obtained through reverse engineering to complete the repair of the impeller.5)The optimum process parameters are put forward:the laser power of 1500 W,the scanning speed of 4mm/s,the powder delivery amount of 6r/min,and the overlap rate of 40%.
