With the large-scale operation of aircrafts and the rapid increase in air traffic,some airport runways designed according to the original regulations have suffered problems such as pavement structural damage and significantly determination of performance,resulting in insufficient service life.It is necessary to analyze and study the dynamic response laws of the runway in actual operation to obtain the root cause of the under-life,and then to extend the runway life analysis.Previous studies have shown that field tests can be used to obtain the dynamic response of each structural layer of an airport runway under real aircraft loads.However,due to practical conditions,most scholars are unable to adopt this method,to obtain the runways under actual airport operating conditions.Based on the Denver International Airport project,a detailed analysis of the measured data at the Denver airport was conducted to obtain the dynamic response of each structural layer of the runway under the actual load,and then the ABAQUS finite element software was used to establish a refined model of the runway at Denver Airport.The refinement model was used to optimize the analysis of the runway structure parameters of the Denver airport so as to achieve the purpose of extending the runway life.The specific work and conclusions are as follows:1)Based on the measured strain data of Denver International Airport the strain response characteristics and development law of cement concrete pavement at different locations under various models were obtained,and the conclusions were consistent with the actual damage situation of the pavement;2)Through the analysis of the measured displacement data of Denver airport over the past five years,the displacement response characteristics and compression deformation law of each structural layer of the runway under different aircraft types are obtained;3)Based on the above analysis,the Denver airport runway was refined and modeled,and the rationality and correctness of the model were verified.Then the influencing factors of runway dynamic response were analyzed,and the results were compared with the conclusions of the FAA’s CC2 test.Further demonstrate the correctness of the above analysis of the influence of the parameters on the runway structure;4)Based on the above analysis results,ABAQUS is used to calculate the total runway displacement of different structural layers under 70 operations of the B747 model,so as to obtain the effect of each structural layer of the runway on the runway life,and then to propose a structural parameter optimization proposal that can extend the runway life.
