The gate assignment is an important part of airport operation and management.Flight ground operations such as baggage handling,cabin cleaning,catering,oil supply and so on need be scheduled and run on the basis of the gate assignment.The increasing number of flights has brought great challenges to the gate assignment.How to effectively use the gate resources,especially the apron gate resources,under the conditions of limited resources and operational safety,is of great significance for improving airport support capacity and service level.The paper mainly studies the gate assignment in busy airports.The specific work includes:Considering the impact of the gate assignment on the operational safety,three potential conflicts in the push-back and taxi-in of the adjacent stand flights are analyzed.Combined with specific requirements for starting flights,over-station flights and over-night flights at different times throughout the day,gate assignment model of whole-time avoiding push-back and taxi-in conflict is established.A model solving strategy based on tabu search algorithm is proposed.The experimental results on the actual operation data of the Capital International Airport show that the established model reduces the conflict of the push-back and taxi-in,and improves the utilization of the apron gate compared with the existing airport gate assignment scheme.In view of the inevitable random delay of flights in actual operation and bringing disturbance problem to the gate assignment.This paper takes the actual operation data of the Capital International Airport as the basis,analyzes the distribution rules of early arrival or delay of flights.A buffer time cost function is proposed to quantitatively evaluate the robustness of the gate assignment scheme.On the basis of this,a multi-objective robust gate assignment model for minimizing buffer time cost,gate-flight matching difference and the number of remote gates is established.A model solving algorithm based on multi-objective tabu search algorithm is designed.The experiment was validated with the actual operating data of Capital International Airport.The results show that the proposed model can better deal with the disturbance caused by the flight time change to the gate assignment plan.At the same time,combined with the description of the Pareto front of the optimization result,the application analysis of the proposed model in different operation scenarios at the airport is given.
