Atmospheric pressure plasma is plasma in which the temperature of electrons in the system is much higher than that of other particles.One of the important features is the nonequilibrium.The jet produced by the jet scalpel in this paper is a kind of low temperature plasma,which is close to the room temperature.The scalpel can not only discharge in small gaps,but also produce plasma in open space.The efflux scalpel can be used for hemostasis,ablation,and cutting of necrotic tissue.Compared to traditional medical devices,the plasma jet scalpel can reduce the patient's pain,reduce the damage to the healthy tissue and shorten the recovery time.Therefore,the research on the cryogenic plasma scalpel has a very important scientific significance and practical application value.In this paper,design and studied two kinds of atmospheric pressure low temperature plasma jet blades with different sizes.The research work of this paper is as follows:(1)A jet knife with large size(centimeter size)and small size(millimeter magnitude)are design in this paper.Large diameter jet knife placed electrostatic lens in the plasma channel near the plasma outlet,making the jet knife in this paper different from the jet knife currently researched by scholars.The small size jet knife placed the regulating electrode in the same position.The purpose of this paper is to design two different sizes of atmospheric pressure non-equilibrium cryogenic plasma jet knives,which aim to meet different surgical requirements of different tissues and locations.The electrostatic lens and the regulating electrode are place in order to enable more plasma to pass through the plasma channel.(2)In this paper,the CST software is use to simulate the equivalent model of a large and small air pressure low temperature plasma jet knife.We have simulated the loading voltage,the thickness of ceramic insulation,the shape and thickness of electrostatic lens,the size of plasma discharge chamber and so on.A small size jet cutter is use to simulate the loading voltage of each part,the number of electrodes,the distance between the electrodes,the thickness of the insulating ceramic between the electrodes,and the size of the plasma discharge chamber.Through the simulation of the above parameters to find an optimal combination,the excited electrons can be maximally through the plasma channel.(3)This paper describes the processing of large and small size jets,and two sets of experimental systems have been set up.The effect of the flow velocity and loading voltage of the working gas on the excited plasma of a large and small size jet knife is verifiy by experiments.In addition,the experiment on the number of adjustable electrodes for small size jet knife is also carriy out.
