With the rapid development of livestock and poultry cultivation industry, livestock pollution has become increasingly a serious problem, as one of the main sources of agricultural nonpoint source pollution. Promoting livestock waste biogas technology application model is of great significance for saving energy and controlling environmental problems of rural areas.Aquaculture wastewater has the typical features with high wastewater COD content of up to 4000-8000mg/L, BOD content of 2000-6000mg/L, NH3-N up to 200-700mg/L, SS concentrations of 5000-10000mg/L, dealing with them for compliance with a certain degree of environment condition is quite difficulty. Research on processing mode for large biogas technology in livestock pollution treatment system, is not only to reduce pollution in livestock, but also promote the construction of biogas applications.In this paper the following aspects are described and analyzed:(1) This biogas technology from domestic and foreign research are documented, the two modes of waste water treatment application into the energy and the energy & environmental ecology class category of biogas projects in livestock and poultry farms were analyzed and described, these two modes have different characteristics and scope of use; The common type of biogas reactor was divided into Up-flow Blanket Filter(UBF), up-flow solids reactor (USR), completely mixed anaerobic reactor (CSTR) and up-flow anaerobic Oxygen Sludge Blanket (UASB), and the different characteristics and scope.(2) Biogas function of each system consists of comprising pretreatment system, anaerobic digestion, after treatment systems, sludge treatment systems, biogas purification and utilization system. The application technology for large-scale biogas farm effluent treated results in Hangzhou showed that the biogas technology for treatment of livestock wastewater CODCr, BOD5, SS produced a good effect, the average treatment efficiency can reach about 80%, except for NH3-N removal rate is about 5%.(3) Biogas applied to livestock wastewater treatment, sewage treatment can achieve the desired treatment efficiency and results, such as recycled energy, reducing costs and other obvious social, environmental and economic benefits. The?Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard? (GB8978-1996) give an emission standard for CODcr 100mg/l, BOD5 20mg/l. SS70mg/l, NH3-N 15mg/l, and therefore livestock farm pollution control requirements have been upgraded. Livestock wastewater treatment, Biogas treatment process combined with other environmental, energy and environmental applications scope is important and necessary in large livestock farm. Anaerobic microbial treatment efficiency is affected by temperature in different seasons, the need to strengthen the digester insulation in winter, in order to achieve water quality and stability should also be considered.
