The experiment was conduced to study mixed silage of bamboo shell by using wheat bran,rice husk and straw mixed silage with bamboo shell which is main raw of silage in different proportion.The test was divided into three parts: four treatments in first two parts were designed to mix wheat bran,rice husk and chaff with bamboo shell respectively in mixed silage according the fresh weight by the ratio concluding 60:40,70:30,80:20 and 85:15;five treatments in third part were designed to mix straw with bamboo shell in mixed silage according the fresh weight by the ratio concluding 60:40,70:30,80:20,85:15 and 97%(80% bamboo shell and 20% straw)plus 3% corn flour,each treatment owned four replicates test.In dynamic design,opening the bottle sample of each silage treatments for sensory evaluation,nutrients testing and organic acid content analysis in 1st,7th,14 th,30th,45 th day.By comparing the quality of silage and analyzing dynamic changes,to select the best combination of mixed silage.The results of main research show as follows: The determination results of nutrientsAfter observing the process of silage from 1st day to 45 th day,the results of determination of nutrients showed that water content in wheat bran,rice husk and straw mixed silage with bamboo shell had no significant difference in all test time.The 70% bamboo shell and 30% chaff group and 80% bamboo shell and 20% chaff group dry matter content decreased significantly(P<0.05)in 7th day,but had no significant difference from 14 th day to 45 th day.As silage time goes on,the content of crude protein,soluble carbohydrate(WSC),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF)in all treatments showed a decreasing trend.In 7th day crude protein content of mixed silage was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The content of NDF owned the most prominent change from 7th day to 14 th day,all treatments' NDF content decreased(P<0.05).In 80% bamboo shell and 20% chaff group and 85% bamboo shell and 15% chaff group,ADF content decreased significantly(P<0.05)in 7th,14 th and 30 th day.In this silage process,crude ash content increased in first 30 days,and decreased in 45 th day.Ammonia nitrogen rate to total nitrogen in 7 days increased fastest(P<0.05).At the end of silage,60% bamboo shell and 40% wheat bran group owned low NDF and ADF content with good sensory evaluation.The 70% bamboo shell and 30% chaff group and 80% bamboo shell and 20% chaff group owned low soluble reducing sugar and AN/TN with good sensory evaluation.In 70% bamboo shell and 30% straw group,NDF and ADF content were low and good sensory evaluation.The result of sensory evaluation in single silage with bamboo shell group was inferior.97%(80% bamboo shell and 20% straw)plus 3% corn flour group has best sensory evaluation,more crude protein and soluble reducing sugar,low AN/TN ratio.The determination results of pH and organic acidAfter observing the process of silage from 1st day to 45 th day,all treatments' pH value significantly decreased(P<0.05)in 7th day,14 th day and 30 th day still decreased,in 45 th day increased instead.As silage time goes on,the content of LA and AA increased in first 7 days significantly(P<0.05),14 th,30th,45 th day slowly increased.All this process PA content in 30 th day was most and increased(P<0.05)comparing to the first day.In the propHase of silage,all treatment has no BA.And In 80% bamboo shell and 20% wheat bran group and 85% bamboo shell and 15% wheat bran group emerged a small amount of BA.At the end of silage,60% bamboo shell and 40% wheat bran group has increased the content of LA and AA,low pH and no BA.In 80% bamboo shell and 40% chaff group and 70% bamboo shell and 30% chaff group,the LA content increased,pH value decreased,no BA and better quality.70% bamboo shell and 30% straw group has higher LA and lower pH,no BA,best to silage.In the control group,pH value has no significant change and worse effect of silage fermentation,while emerging little PA and BA.All this proved to be not suit for single silage.Concluding sensory evaluation,nutrients test,pH and organic acid analysis,the quality of single silage with bamboo shell must be poor.The silage mixed chaff with bamboo shell is better than wheat bran and straw.The best combination comes to be 80% bamboo shell and 20% chaff in all silage mixed chaff with bamboo shell,the suitable combination comes to be 60% bamboo shell and 40% wheat bran in all silage mixed wheat bran with bamboo shell,the feasible combination comes to be 70% bamboo shell and 30% straw in all silage mixed straw with bamboo shell.Adding corn flour can increased the quality of silage mixed straw with bamboo shell,97%(80% bamboo shell and 20% straw)plus 3% corn flour group had better quality.
