With a limp as the main feature, lamb paralysis syndrome is a lamb disease that occurs each year at varying degrees in Anhui Province and Henan Province. The occurrence is significantly higher in the latest years after it is sporadic initially. It has a higher prevalence especially in some large-scale sheep farm, sheep growers, and brings serious economic losses to them. Currently there are fewer reports about the disease and the cause of it has not clear yet, so it is difficult to prevent, control and treat the disease. This study is an investigation about lamb which became emaciated, paralysis and had a large number of cases dead in Anhui Province. Through epidemiological investigation, we have a preliminary understanding of the incidence and prevalence. The samples were observed clinical signs and pathological examination and pathological material acquisition. At first, the wool samples were measured in trace elements to explore its effection to the disease. Then the eptiology was investigated including germ culture and blood smear method ect on, and PCR was also applie to determine protoza in blood, and the sequencing was made. Based on the results, we analyze the cause of the disease and make a appropriate treatment plan. Finally, it will clarify the cause of the disease and provide a theoretical basis of the disease diagnosis, prevention and treatment of immune. The results showed that the incidence of the disease is more concentrated i n the spring and summer in epidemiology, with the breeding patter of confinedness or half-confinedness, lacking of scientific administration. The clinical symptoms were observed that cases showing high fever, anemia, weight loss and swollen lymph nodes surface, and apparent difficulty in lifting motion. They showed limb rigidity and some even downer. Lamb is one of the most obvious. Pathological anatomy shows that rigor mortis is not significant, and subcutaneous fat has hemorrhagic glue infiltrates. The general organs are present extensive bleeding, sepsis symptoms. Lungs check out emphysema, edema and pulmonary hemorrhage. Hearts have myocardial, necrosis and pericardial effusion. Coronal fat heart-intensive bleeding occurs. Abomasum ulcers are commen. There are varying degrees of intestinal bleeding. The results of the wool trace elements measurement show no obvious abnormality. The streptococcus which isolated from cases is Gram-positive bacteria and has significant hemolysis. Through the blood smear, polypide can be clearly observed in red blood cells. By extracting the bloodgenome and using common primers amplified fragment, the amplified fragment sequences determined finally. The resulting sequence will be through NCBI homology analysis, and phylogenetic tree is established. Gene sequence analysis revealed the homology with T. luwenshuni is up to 99%. In all, the main cause of this type case is caused by the mixed infections of Theileria and streptococcus. Lambs are anemic, macilent and body defenses are weakened after infected with Theileria, and the main symptoms of the disease are high fever, anemia, weight loss and swollen lymph surface. They became limb-stiffing even paralyzed. In the condition of debility, streptococcus infect them. Streptococcosis is characterized by systemic hemorrhagic septicemia and meningitis clinically, and it showed it was a higher morbidity and mortality with shorter course of disease. Because of mixed infection, the body constitution of lambs is exacerbated accompanying with acute death. The conclusion could be made that it is clear that the case of the disease is Theileria and Streptococcus, we have given the appropriate treatment scheme, and acquire the ideal treatment. It will provide a scientific basis for the future development of such disease containment, and is giving specific measures for the prevention and treatment of related reference.
