This study was conducted the biological feed of Camellia oleifera were applied to the broiler chicken dietsusing the equal nutritional program to replace part of soybean meal in diets. In order to evaluate the application value of the biological feed of Camellia oleiferain poultry breedingand provide basic data for the application of biological feed of Camellia oleifera as feed ingredients in livestock and poultry production,we investigate the the effects of the biological feed of Camellia oleifera on growth, performance, digestive function, digestive system, immune organs, gut microflora in broiler and determin the most appropriate proportions of camellia oleifera seed meal in broiler diets. The studyincluding two parts.Experimental I.Application of the biological feed of Camellia oleifera Seed meal in broiler chickens.A total of 192 healthy Arbor Acres broilers(male and female half)with similar body weight were randomly allocated into 4 groups with 4 replicates of 12 each per groups and received different treatments as follows:a basal diet(group A)and three treatments including 15% ? 35% and 50% soybean in basal diet was substituted by fermented Camellia oleifera seed(named as group B,C and D,respectively). The results showed that 15% replacement treatment groups significantly improved growth performance and apparent digestibility when compared with the control group.Intestinal chyme viscosity pH and gut digestive enzyme activities of broilers in each treatment groups were improved. At day 30,trypsin activity were significantly different in groupB,group C and group D compared to control group(P<0.05).abdominal fat percentage were increased in diets of supplemented biological feed of Camellia oleifera.Slaughter rate, the rate of whole eviscerated(P<0.05),chest muscle rate and leg muscle rate(P<0.05)were increased in group B.Inosine acid in the chest muscle has a tendency of increaed, improved leg muscle(P<0.05)and decreased storage loss and shear force(P<0.05)significantly in groupB,group Cand group D.Immune organ indexwere improved and especilly at day 40,there were significantly difference in group B and group C(P<0.05).However,there was no significant changes on development index of the digestive organs and blood biochemical indices in all treatment groups. These results suggest that a certain amount of the biological feed of Camellia oleifera could replaced soybean meal inbroilers feed and not affect the digestive and the main organs physiological functions of broilers. Moreover,it could improve growth performance, carcass performance, meat quality and promote the development of immune system of broilers.Experimental II.Effect of biological feed of Camellia oleifera Seed meal on intestinal morphology and intestinal microflora of broilers. The aim of this trial, which was based on the Experimental I,was to research the mechanism of biological feed of Camellia oleifera influence on growth, production and physiological from the perspective of intestinal microflora of broilers.A total of 120 15 day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were dividedinto 2 groups with 4replicatesper group and 15 broiler per replicates.Every group conducted into different treatment with Group A,a soybean meal based control diet;group B,group A supplemented with 15% of the biological feed of Camellia oleifera. The results indicate that villus height and villus height to crypt depth ratio in the duodenum was significantly higher(P<0.05),while Crypt depth is lower(P > 0.05)than group A.The lower number of enterobacteria in the duodenum(P<0.05)and the higher number of lactobacillus(P>0.05)and bifidobacterium(P<0.05)was observed in treatment group when compared with control group. All of these shows that the biological feed of Camellia oleifera with bioactive substance, including tea saponin, tea polyphenol, small peptide et al,can effectivelyenhancetheproductio of broiler by changing the intestinal morphology, regulating the intestinal flora and increasing the beneficial bacteria.
