Based on the twenty-year growing Golden Delicious apples, this experiment studies the effect of bagging, spraying calcium and postharvest storage treatment on qualities of Golden Delicious apples. By determining the appearance quality(the finish, stained area, color index, fruit rot, brightness, fruit weight, shape index, weight loss ratio, decay incidence); the inner quality(Ca concentration of fruit flesh and peel, fruit firmness, SSC, the titratable acid, the total sugar, the Vc content) of Golden Delicious apples. The results show that: 1.Bagging earlier can improve the finish, stained area, brightness, fruit rot, color index, fruit weight, shape index of apples. The fruit firmness, SSC, the titratable acid were gradually decreased as long as the time of bagging was delay; the total sugar, the Vc contentas were gradually increased. The best period for bagging was on June 11.2.The finish, stained area, brightness were gradually decreased to remove bags earlier. The fruit firmness, the titratable acid, the total sugar, the Vc contentas were gradually decreased as the time of bag-removing was delay; SSC contentas were gradually increased. The ideal time of bag removing is around September 22.3.Spraying calcium fertilizer to Golden Delicious apples, Ca content in flesh and peel was significantly higher than that of control. Calcium fertilizer was able to increase single fruit weight, the index of fruit shape(width/length), fruit firmness, soluble solids, the total sugar and Vc, while the contents of titratable acid was decreased. Among all the tested calcium fertilizers, AAC had best effect, followed by liquids calcium. The best effects appear when spraying calcium before bagged and after picking bags, and the quality was obviously improved.4.The treatments inhibited the fruit rotting and weight loss, delayed the decrease of fruit firmness and titratable acid content, reduced the soluble solid content, inhibited the degradation of vitamin C under all storage regimes(fruit wax coating, chitosan treatment, fruit wax coating+MAP, chitosan treatment+MAP) with different calcium fertilizers. It is evident that, compared to room storage, refrigerated storage had good effect on preservation of apple fruits. AAC was better organic fertilizer to keep the quality of apples. The ideal treatment of storage is chitosan+MAP under refrigeration temperature. And stored in this way has obviously suppressed the maturity and the senility of apples, and prolong the storage period. 5.The shelf-life quality of Golden Delicious apples stored at refrigeration temperature was better than room temperature. Compared with room temperature, storage under refrigeration temperature could better inhibit the decrease in fruit firmness, titratable acid content, SSC content. What's ever calcium fertilizers, Q+MAP treatment had best effect.
