In this experiment we choose the cherry tomato cultivar‘Jingzhu' as test material,with limited root cultivation methods,to discuss the effect of cultivation of root restriction on the quality and growth of tomato.By controlling the cultivation of this experiment to limit the size of the container root growth,with 7L,5L,3L,1L four different sizes container cultivation in order to regulate the relationship of shoot and root,vegetative and reproductive growth;In order to select appropriate concentrations of 24-epibrassinolide for the cultivation of cherry tomato,we investigate the effects of different concentrations of 24-epibrassinolide on growth,photosynthetic characteristics,yield and fruit quality of cherry plants.Main research results were as follows:1?Root restriction inhibited plant growth,plant height,and stem thickness with an increase in inhibition as root restriction increased;root restriction improved fruit quality2?The experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of different concentrations(0.05,0.10,0.20,0.40 mg·L-1)of 24-epibrassinolide on chlorophyll content,gas exchange parameters,chlorophyll fluorescence parameters,yield and fruit quality of cherry plants.The results showed that the chlorophyll content,net photosynthetic rate(Pn)and transpiration rate(Tr)were significantly enhanced by 0.05,0.10 and 0.20 mg·L-1EBR.Chlorophyll fluorescence parameters such as ?PSII,Fv'/Fm',qP and ETR were significantly increased at the concentration of 0.10 mg·L-1 EBR,the activities of carbonic anhydrase and Rubisco were also increased by EBR.In addition,0.10 mg·L-1 EBR significantly increased levels of lycopene and beta-carotene,soluble solids,soluble sugar and vitamin C in cherry fruit,and also EBR significantly increased fruit weight and yield by 17.5% and 33.6% as compared to the control,respectively.These results indicated that EBR could improve the yield and quality of tomato fruits by strengthening the photosynthetic enzymatic activity and promoting growth,and the treated concentration of 0.10 mg·L-1 EBR showed the best effects on growth in cherry tomato plants.
