Our country is an agricultural country. In recent years, the demand for meat is on the rise with further improvement of economic growth and living standards.Among all meat products, people are very close to pork.According to the statistics, the consumption of pork is more than the sum of beef and mutton consumption each year. However, the level of pig breeding is backward. Therefore, this paper studies and develops the pig weighing system associated with the requirement of the meat supply chain traceability system. This weighing system is mainly to resolve some issues, such as laggard acquisition mode, inaccurate weighing and tedious manual recording, etc. The technology of radio frequency identification(RFID),embedded control systems were applied to weight data acquisition, transmission and preservation in this weighing system.Firstly, use of RFID tags to identify individual pigs.Secondly, gather pig-weight and read ear label when pigs eat.At last, the collected data are sent to algorithm processing and saved in computer by the nRF905 wireless module. This can greatly reduce the operating time and improve efficiency without impact on the weighing pigs.Additionally,it can advance the development of automation and modernization of pig breeding industry. This article designed a project of pig-weight acquisition, weighting platform structure and hardware and software of lower computer.Meanwhile this article designed a multi-point communication protocol to ensure that the data from collected devices was sent to the host computer for processing.Weighing fourth-order model of pig was constructed based on the characteristics of dynamic loads, and pigs weighing dynamic data was processed through parameter estimation method of system identification.
