Design And Research Of Crawler Type Lawn Mowing Machine

For a long time,the work of turf pruning on the bank slope is a difficult task for river management department.Due to the bank slope is very large,it consists of 45 degrees nearly with the horizontal plane,the average forage harvesting machine can't be up to the job.At present,the common method is manual harvesting and using knapsack mower,because river banks have large area,and the time of harvest is urgent,so this way is obviously inefficient.Although there have been a number of mowers used on the bank slope,there are lot of place where the grass couldn't be mowed.Therefore,we developed a crawler typelawnmowing machine.In this paper,the crawler type lawn mowing machine was in detail analyzed and designed.First of all,the design scheme was established according to the grass growth environment.Then the research and design of power system,running mechanism,actuator and drive system were studied in detail,and the movement of the cutter was analyzed in detail.Finally,main parts of the cutter were designed and the stress analysis and strength calculation of the main shafts and gears of the transmission parts were carried out.It's innovative points include: The walking mechanism used crawler type,able to walk on steep ground,solved the problem of mowing on the steep ground;Adopted rubber track,the body weight was reduced,the pressure to ground was reduced,and avoid the destruction to the grass;All grass can be mowed,saved manpower and material resources.Though tested on thesteep groundof river,the crawlertype lawnmowing machine worked well.
