Xiang pig is the unique miniature pig species in China, due to it's low reproduction rate the Xiang pig breeding was seriously restricted in pig industy. However the molecular mechanism of how to regulate reproductive traits haven't been reported yet. In this study eight SNPs which screened out by Illumina Porcine SNP60 K chip were taken as the research object, we detected their genotypes and made a association analysis with reproduction traits in Xiang pigs. The main results were exhibited as blow:For MARC0031843 site, TC and TT was the advantage genotype in high production and low production in Xiang pig respectivly, and there was a significant difference in allele frequencies between those two group(P<0.05). The frequence of allele C in Yorkshire was significantly increased compared with that in Xiang pig(P<0.05), and for Kele pig the allele frequencies was not significant compared with Xiang or Yorkshire. The genotype of MARC0031843 site had a weak correlation to the 3rd parity NBA in Xiang pig(0.2<?<0.4, P<0.01), and had extremely weak correlation to the 1st and 2nd parity NBA as well as teats number(0<?<0.2, P<0.05).For INRA0026400 site, CT and CC was the advantage genotype in high production and low production in Xiang pig respectivly, and a extremely significant difference was shown in allele frequencies between those two group(P<0.01). The frequence of allele T in Yorkshire was extremely significantly increased compared with that in Xiang pig(P<0.01), and for Kele pig the allele frequencies was not significant compared with Xiang(P>0.05) but not to Yorkshire(P<0.01). The genotype of INRA0026400 site had a weak correlation to the 1st and 2st parity NBA in Xiang pig(0.2<?<0.4, P<0.001), and had extremely weak correlation to the 3st parity NBA(0<?<0.2, P<0.05), no correlation was found between genotype and teats number. For INRA0046993 site, no significant difference was shown in allele frequencies between high and low production in Xiang pig(P>0.05). The genotype of INRA0046993 site had a weak correlation between genotype and the 3st parity NBA in Xiang pig(0.2<?<0.4, P<0.001), but no correlation was detected to the 1st and 2st parity NBA as well as teats number.Unfortunately, for those five sites(ALGA0117046?ASGA0095691?H3GA0036168?H3GA0040561 ? ALGA0119050) there was no significant difference was found in allele frequencies between high and low production and no correlation was detected between genotype with each parity and teats number. In this paper, we found that MARC0031843 and INRA0026400 sites can be used as molecular markers for litter size of Xiang pig, and provided molecular theory to enhance Xiang pig reproductive performance.
