Effects of ERM fungi on the introduction and heat-resistance of R. molle were evaluated by inoculating tests, meanwhile in order to provide theoretical on the introduction of R. molle in Guangzhou, infection rates of roots of R. mucronatum growing in fields of Guangzhou were determined. The article determined the effects of ericoid mycorrhizal on the growth and heat-resistance of R. molle using two different sources of ericoid mycorrhizal, which respectively separated from the roots of R. fortune i and the roots of R. mucronatum in East China. According to the germination rate of seeds of R. molle and later growth status of seedlings inoculated with ERM fungi, evaluate the effects of ericoid mycorrhizal on the germination of R. molle and the growth of seedlings; By measuring the plant height, leaf area, chlorophyll content, soluble sugar content and soluble protein of R. molle seedlings inoculated with ERM fungi, analyze the growth effects of ericoid mycorrhizas on R. molle smeedlings; By evaluating the proline contents, activities of anti-oxidative enzymes, mebrane lipid peroxidation of R. molle seedlings inoculating with ERM fungi under high temperature stress, the effects of ERM fungi on the heat-resistance of R. molle seedlings were explored. By measuring the rooting rates, root numbers and average length of roots of sterile seedlings outside the bottle, analysis the effects of ERM fungi on the outer bottle rooting rate of R. molle culture plantlet. By oberserving the microstructure of mycorrhizal and mycorrhizal inoculation levels of R.mucronatum growing in fields of Guangzhou, initially observe the status of mycorrhizal colonization of R. fortune living in field of Guangzhou area. The main results were revealed as follows:(1)Inoculating with ERM fungi in the substrate significantly improved germination rates of the seeds of R. molle, survival rates and soluble sugar contents of seedlings; inoculating with ERM fungi can improve plant height and chlorophyll contents of seedlings, however, only inoculating with Y fungi significantly improved the protein contents of seedling; only soluble sugar contents of seedlings inoculating with M fungi was significantly higher than that of seedlings inoculating with Y fungi, the other physiological indexes between the two fungi had no significant difference. In addition, germination of R. molle inoculating with ERM fungi was not earlier than non-inoculation treatment.(2)Ericoid mycorrhizal were found in the root systems of one-year-old R. molle seedlings inoculated with ERM fungi artificially. However, the infection rates were very low in 10-15% only. Inoculating with ERM fungi significantly improved leaf area, relative chlorophyll contents and soluble protein contents, but had no significant difference on the plant heights and soluble sugar contents. Leaf area and soluble protein contents of seedlings inoculating with M fungi were significantly higher than that of seedlings inoculating with Y fungi, the other physiological indexes between the two fungi had no significant difference.(3)Electrical conductivity and MDA contents of seedlings inoculating with fungi were significantly lower than that of the controls, and the proline contents, POD activity and SOD activity were significantly higher than that of the controls. Proline contents, SOD activity of seedlings inoculating with M fungi were significantly higher than that of seedlings inoculating with Y fungi and the MDA contents were lower than that with Y fungi, which demonstrated that inoculating with M fungi show better performance on the heat-resisitant of R. molle.(4)Rooting of sterile seedlings outside the bottle was low on the whole, but ERM fungi significantly improve the root rates and root numbers, and average root length had not been increased significantly. The difference between the two fungi on the rooting of sterile R. molle seedlings was no significant.(5)R. mucronatum growing in fields of Guangzhou had high infection rate, and the structures of ericoid mycorrhizal in the roots of R. mucronatum were various which included the typical mycorrhizal coil, intracellular mycelium, hyphal around the surface of the roots and the fascicular hyphal through the cells.
