This paper mainly studied the techniques for the measurement of metabolizable glucose of diets, and the effect of metabolizable glucose on growth performance and blood biochemical index in weaned piglets. We aimed to determine the suitable metabolizable glucose requirement,at the same time provide the basis for the preparation of the weaned piglets diets in the future. This study includes three parts:Part 1:20 weaned piglets 25 ± 2 days(6.48±0.71kg body weight)were randomly divided into four treatment groups, with five pigs allocated to each treatment. The piglets were implanted with T-Cannula in terminal ileum, and were respectively infused into T-Cannula with different levels volatile fatty acids(25%,50%,75%,100%of the volatile fatty acids yield in the large intestine)after the weaned piglets survived and recovered. The faeces were collected, and used for determinatiing the concentration of volatile fatty acid. The results showed that the emissions of propionic acid and lactic acid in infusion group were significant higher than no infusion groups(P<0.05),but the different infusion levels had no significant effect on propionic acid emissions(P>0.05).Lactic acid emissions with levels of infusion in 75%,100%was significant higher in 25%,50%(P<0.05),but there was no difference in the emissions of acetic acid and butyric acid between each groups. In this experiment,we did not find the significient relation between the infusion and emissions of volatile fatty acid,so it could not be used to determinate the yield of volatile fatty acid in the large intestine through the ileum fistula infusion with volatile fatty acids.Part 2:20 crossbreed(Duroc×Landrace×Yord shire)weaned piglets(ABW 7.74±0.81kg)25 ± 2 days randomly divided into four treatment groups, with five pigs allocated to each treatment. The piglets were respectively fed with different level of metabolizable glucose diets, which were formulated with different proportion corn, soybean meal with the same energy, nitrogen level.20 weaned piglets were implanted with T-Cannula,carotid artery, portal vein and mesenteric catheters. After the feed intake returned to normal, the digesta were collected from ileum to determinate small intestine starch digestibility with indicator. The weaned piglets were infused into mesenteric catheters with 1%p-aminohippurate.The blood fom portal vein and artery were collected. The portal vein net absorption of lactic acid, propionic acid were estimated using the difference arteriovenous concentration method. The results showed that the metabolizable glucose level were 239.62g/kg,280.68g/kg,400.79g/kg,454.35g/kg.When the daily feed intake was 280g,the daily intake of metabolizable glucose were 67.09g,78.59 g,112.22 g and 127.22g.The regression equation of the diet metabolizable glucose level, diet starch and crude fiber content:Y =-196.44 +12.13 X1 + 23.18 X2,(R2 = 0.9989,sig.= 0.033)(with diet metabolizable glucose level as dependent variable, with diet starch and crude fiber content as independent variable X1,X2).Part 3:30 weaned piglets 21 days(5.48 ± 0.50 kg body weight)were randomly divided into 5 groups and the 5 groups represented diet ?.?.?,IV and V.The experimental period was 6 weeks and was divided into two stages. The first stage was 1 to 14 days after weaning, and the second was 15 to 42 days, each stage was fed with different level of metabolizable glucose diet, which were formulated with different proportion corn, soybean meal with the same energy, nitrogen level. The metabolizable glucose levels in first stage respectively were 126.4g/kg,202.6g/kg,235.7g/kg,331.6g/kg and 371.5g/kg;the metabolizable glucose levels in second stage respectively were 37.6g/kg,132.5g/kg,300.0g/kg,354.3g/kg and 412.5g/kg.By researching the effect of metabolism glucose level on growth performance.nutrition digestibility and blood chemical index to determinate the suitable metabolizable glucose requirement of weaned piglets. The daily gain and efficience of two stage in the group ?,? were highest, and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The first stage(1-14 d),urea, uric acid,?-hydroxybutyrate and acetoxyacetic acid were highest in group ?.There was no difference between all groups with ?-hydroxybutyrate and acetoxyacetic acid(P>0.05).The second stage(15-42 d),urea was highest in group ?,there was no difference in all groups(P>0.05).Uric acid was highest in group ? and lowest in group ?,and there was significient difference between two groups(P<0.05).There was no difference between all groups with ?-hydroxybutyrate and acetoxyacetic(P>0.05).It could be conclude the growth performance and metabolizable for weaned piglets were influenced by the metabolizable glucose.Under this experimental condition,1-2 weeks after weaning, suitable metabolizable glucose requirement was 202.6-235.7 g/kg;and,suitable metabolizable glucose requirement was 132.5-300.0 g/kg in 3-6 weeks after weaning.
