16 germplasm of Iris lactea Pall. var.chinensis(Fisch.) collected from different ecological environments in the north of China were stressd by different Cd treatments (0?50?100?200? 300mg-·g-1)were carried out using the sand culture method. By measurement of plant height, shoot and root biomass, the chlorophyll content, the SOD and POD activities, the MDA contents, the soluble protein contents.the effects of Cd stress on physiology and accumulation ability.The results are as follows:1?The growth, and physiological indexes of 16 accessions of Iris lactea var.chinensis, including Plant height, shoot and root biomass, the chlorophyll content, the SOD and POD activities, the MDA contents, the soluble protein contents were measured under different Cd stress, Cd tolerance of 16 germplasm was comprehensive evaluation of membership function method and cluster analysis method.The 16 germplasm were divided into 3 groups,e.g the stonger Cd tolerance (BJCY-ML018?BJCY-ML019?BJCY-ML006? BJCY-ML015?BJCY-ML016?BJCY-ML004), the medium (BJCY-ML023?BJCY-ML029?BJCY-ML021? BJCY-ML017) and the weaker Cd tolerance (BJCY-ML001?BJCY-ML035?BJCY-ML005?BJCY-ML032? BJCY-ML007?BJCY-ML011).2?The Cd content of 16 accessions of Iris lactea var. Chinensis in root are increased under different Cd treatments, The Cd content in root was higher than above-ground under the lower and higher Cd treatments.the results showed that Cd is mainly accumulated in the roots. The accumulator factor of shoot and root of different germplasm are descendant with the increasing concentration of Cd and the translocation factor have significant effects.The translocation factor of 5 accessions (BJCY-ML006? BJCY-ML015?BJCY-ML016?BJCY-ML018?BJCY-ML019) are higher than other materials.3?Comprehensive research shows, BJCY-ML018?BJCY-ML019?BJCY-ML006?BJCY-ML015? BJCY-ML016 are ideal candidate materials to harness Cd polluted area. Although the stronger Cd tolerance germplasm including BJCY-ML004,but the translocation factor for Cd was less than 0.5.
