Evaluation And Screening About The Agronomic Characters Of Ramie Germplasm Resources

A field experiment was conducted to compare the major agronomic characters of 94 ramie varieties (germplasm resources). The study aimed to clear and definite the agronomic characters of these ramie germplasm resources, screen excellent characters of ramie germplasm, and provide basis for ramie breeding and cultivation. Plant height, stem diameter, fresh bast thickness, branch number, the effective stalks, ramify amount and biomass of the ramie germplasm resources were measured. Grey correlation degree analysis was used to comprehensive evaluate the agronomic characters of these ramie germplasm resources, to get excellent germplasm resources. The main results were as follows:(1) The average plant height of the 94 ramie varieties is 1.44 m, and the CV is 11.06%. Average plant heights of 8 ramie varieties are higher than 1.70 m. They are Jinshajupima etc. The shorter ramie varieties are Jiama etc. The average plant height of the first harvest season ramie is 1.52 m, CV is 13.58%. The average plant height of the second harvest season ramie is 1.36 m, CV is 11.19%; The average plant height of the third harvest season ramie is 1.46 m, CV is 12.84%.(2) The average stem diameter of selected germplasm resources is 8.18 mm, CV is 12.74%. The average stem diameters of six germplasm resources are higher than 10 mm. They are Xinzeng No 1 etc. There are five germplasm resources with smaller stem diameter, for example, Longhuilvma etc. The average stem diameter of the first harvest season ramie is 9.37 mm, CV is 13.07%. The average stem diameter of the second harvest season ramie is 7.64 mm, CV is 13.22%. The average stem diameter of the third harvest season ramie is 7.52 mm, CV is 14.95%. The germplasm resources with large variation are Benyuanxuanxi etc. The germplasm resources with small variation are Baitou 6-1 etc.(3) The valid plant rate of selected germplasm resources is 85.28%, CV is 6.21%. The valid plant rates of the first, second and third harvest season are 83.38%,84.22% and 83.38% respectively. And the CV is 3.59%. Five germplasm resources showed high valid plant rate, they are Tongziqingganma etc. And five germplasm resources showed low valid plant rate, they are Xinningchaima etc. The germplasm resources with large CV are Ziyedayebao, Xinningchaima etc. The germplasm resources with small CV are Jigubai etc.(4) The ramify number per clump of the selected germplasm resources is 7.3, the range is 4.8?10.5, and the CV is 15.80%. The ramify numbers of the first, second and third harvest are 7.6,8.3 and 6.1, and the CV is 15.10%. The germplasm resources with large ramify number are Yushanma etc, The germplasm resources with small ramify number are Tongzkongganma etc. The germplasm resources with large coefficient of variation are Xinningchaima etc.(5) The fresh weight per clump of the selected germplasm resources is 0.75 kg, the range is 0.40?1.43 kg, and the CV is 23.58%. The fresh weight of the first, second and third harvest season are 1.00 kg,0.63 kg and 0.62 kg respectively, and the CV is 28.34%. The fresh weight of 9 germplasm resources are more than 1.00kg, they are Tongzikongganma etc. The germplasm resources with smaller fresh weight are Daxianhuangma etc. The germplasm resources with larger coefficient of variation are Zhuzongyihao etc.(6) The average thickness of fresh bast of the selected germplasm resources is 0.64 mm, the range is 0.45?0.96 mm, and the CV is 14.06%. The fresh bast thickness of 7 germplasm resources are thicker than 0.75 mm, they are Tongzikongganma etc. The germplasm resources with smaller fresh bast thickness are Yuanjiangniuerqing erc.(7) The average evenness degree of selected germplasm resources is 0.692 mm/mm, the range is 0.572?0.832 mm/mm and the CV is 8.11%. Ten of the germplasm resources have good evenness degree, they are Xinzengyihao etc. The germplasm resources have poor evenness degree are Xinhuajiama, Changshajigubai, etc.(8) Comprehensive evaluation was made by using grey correlation degree analysis. Ten germplasm resources with excellent agronomic characters were screened out, they are Tongzi Kongganma, Jinsha Jupima, Xinzeng Yihao, Yuanjiang Heiguzao, Laibin zhuma, Simao Hongzhuma, Shuangfeng Dayema, Hanshou Jigubai, Chuannan Qingpidama and Zhuzong Yihao. The mean values of their agronomic characters are as follows:plant height is 1.70 m, stem diameter is 9.95 mm, fresh bast thickness is 0.64 mm, valid plant rate is 89.21%, ramify number is 7.4 and fresh weight per clump is 1.11 kg.
