Screening for the purpose of good energy grasses, in this study, we use M.sinensis, Mfloridulus, M.sacchariflorus, M.lutarioriparius, Panicum virgatum, Saccharum arundinaceum, M. xgiganteus, M. lutarioriparia×sinensis, Arundo donax and Pennisetum ×P. purpureum et al. a total of 24 different varieties as materials, and we have planted these species in four places of different ecological environments in China:Yonghe town, Hunan Province, Baisha town, Chongqing City, Liaohe town, Henan Province, Xiaotangshan town, Beijing City. Comprehensive analyses of growth, agronomic traits, biomass production, calorific value and chemical composition of raw materials, screening adaptability, and high yield kinds of grasses are all examined. According to the biological characteristics of the energy plant, select Yield Characters, integrated fiber (celulose+ hemicellulose) content, plant height, number of tillers, stem diameter, node number, fresh weight, dry weight and Stem/leaf ratio et al.13 indicators. On this basis, we use Yield Traits conduct comprehensive evaluation of energy grass yield abiblity, stability and adaptability. The results show:In Hunan test plot, whole of the tested materials can be finished their growth period except Pennisetum×P. Purpureum. Some kinds of M.sacchariflorus are short-day plants, the North-South lead its growth period is shortened and early flowering. In Chongqing test plot, the survival rate of M.sacchariflorus varieties is very low, M.floridulus and M.sinensis impossible to live through the winter in Henan Province and Beijing City, Pennisetum×P. purpureum'winter survival rates were lowered from south to north in China. Comparing the agronomic traits dates of various energy grasses we found some agronomic traits of Pennisetum×P. purpureum, Saccharum arundinaceum, M.floridulus and M.sinensis which the fresh weight, plant height and tillers number, et al. in Hunan and Chongqing test plots are better than Henan and Beijing test plots, than the other two tests are a good point. M.sacchariflorus and M.lutarioriparius have a relatively better performance in Henan and Beijing test plots. Integrated fiber content of the tested varieties are high, it is more than 65% and low lignincontent, ash content at a low level, it is between 8-12% and a few varieties is more than 12%. They all have a good quality.Through the principal component analysis and linear regression statistics of the various principal component scores we got an integrated score of various energy grasses, and we got a final result from the yield stability and adaptability of different materials, which was a comprehensive comparison.(1)Suitable for growing in Hunan Province:LWC,02434, 06121, XZM,06026. (2)Suitable for growing in Chongqing City:02434,06026,06121, 04085, XZM. (3)Suitable for growing in Henan Province:02434, XZM,04122,07002, 04132. (4) Suitable for growing in Beijing City:02109,04443,04122,07002,02487. In the tested varieties we found M. lutarioriparia×sinensis, M.lutarioriparius, M. xgiganteus and Panicum virgatum and other species, which have a higher stability stronger adaptability and higher yield biomass than other tested varieties energy grass, they could be have a deeper research or be promotion as energy grasses.
