As a new type of feed enzyme,glucose oxidase(GOD)is safe,environment-friendly,and it plays an important role in promoting intestinal health and performance of animal.This study was conducted to investigate the effect of GOD on intestinal health,reproduction and lactation of Danish Large-white sows.A total of 80 pregnanDanish Large-whitet sows(which had similar body condition,parity(2-3),and farrowing date)were randomly arranged into 4 groups with 5 replicates per group and 4 sows per replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet,while experimental groups ?,Experimental groups ?,Experimental groups ?were fed the basal diets supplemented with 0.5g/kg,1.0g/kg,1.5g/kgGOD respectively.The trial extended to 58 days,which was started from 30 days before farrowing and finished28 days after farrowing(weaning at 21 days age).The main results are as follows:1.GOD on feed intake and nutrient digestibility of sows:(1)GOD increased feed intakes in late pregnacy.Of which,feed intake was significantly improved(p<0.05)in 1.5g/kgGOD group.Compared with control group,daily feed intake of lactation sows was increased by 2.37%in 1.0 g/kgGOD group.(2)GOD did not significantly affect the nutrient digestibilityof lactation sows(p>0.05).Compared with control group,the digestibility of crude protein was increased by 0.55%in 1.5 g/kgGOD group,while calcium and phosphorus digestibility were increased by 1.19%and 0.79%in 0.5 g/kgGOD group,and increased by 1.47%and 1.53%in 1.0 g/kgGOD group respectively.2.GOD on sows intestinal health:(1)There was no significant effect on intestinal constipation rate of sow during perinatal(p>0.05),but experimental groups feces score were better than control group.(2)GODimproved the intestinal health of sows,and significantlyenhanced the number of bifidobacterium populations in feces of lactating sows(p<0.01).But the numbers of Escherichia Colin and lactic acid bacteria in feceswere not significantly differentbetween these groups(p>0.05).Compared with control,the number of Escherichia Colin in feces was reduced by 5.68%at 1.5 g/kgGOD and lactic acid bacteria of GOD groups were increased by 6.90%,3.27%and 6.33%respectively.3.GOD on sows reproductive performance:(1)GOD increased the estrus rate of sows at seven day after weaning.Of which,the estrus rate of sows was very significantly increased(p<0.01)in 0.5g/kgGOD groupand 1.0g/kgGOD group.(2)There was no significant effect difference on sows reproductive performance and give-birth time(p>0.05).compared with control group,the number of piglets alive was increased by 0.90%at 1.0 g/kgGOD group,and the number of weak piglets were reduced at all GOD group.4.GOD diets on sows lactation ability:(1)Back fat loss of lactation sows was decreased for GOD diet groups,Of which,back of 1.0g/kgGODgroup at both 15 days after farrowing and weaning day were for backfat of 15 days of sows lactation and weaning were significant higher than the back fat of 1.5g/kgGOD group(p<0.05).GOD back fat loss was significantly decreased during lactation in 0.5g/kgGOD group and 1.0g/kgGOD group(p<0.05).(2)There were no significant difference on milkability of sows,but milkability of sows was highest(p>0.05)on 1.5 g/kgGOD group.(3)There was no significant difference on colostrum ingredients and IgG of sows(p>0.05).Compared with control group,GOD groups were respectively increased by 2.60%,4.46 and 1.96%in the content of milk fat.,and respectively increased by 0.06%,0.99%and 0.66%in the content of milk protein,and respectively increased by 0.10%,0.14%and 0.10%in the content of no fat solids,and respectively increased by 2.89%,6.22%and 5.82%in the content of Ig G in colostrum.1.5g/kgGOD group increased by 1.02%in the content of lactose.(4)There was no significant difference on the growing performance of piglets(p>0.05).Above all,the addition of glucose oxidase in diets of late pregnant the and lactationincreased average daily feed intake of pregnant sows,increased seven day heat rate of weaning sows,reduced backfat loss during lactation,increased the number of bifidobacteria in feces of lactation sows,improved the trend of the perinatal constipation of sows,improved the trend of the growth performance of the piglet.
