Effects Of Chinese Herbal Medicine Additives On Production Performance,Serum Biochemical Index And Fecal Flora Index In Weaned Piglets

This study is designed to study the effect and mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine additives in weanling piglets.Chinese herbal medicine additives from Agastache rugosa,basil,Angelica,Magnolia and other components.One hundred piglets(Duroc × Landrace × White)are randomly selected and allotted to five treatments in this study.The first group for the control group fed the basal diet,the second group,the third group and the fourth group are respectively added 0.05%,0.1%,0.15%Chinese herbal medicine additives to the basal diet,and Group 5 was added 30mg/kg of the colistin sulfate in the basal diet.By measuring the growth performance,blood biochemical parameters and fecal indexes of weaned piglets,the effect of Chinese herbal medicine additives,the optimum dosage and the mechanism of action were determined.The results showed that:(1)Chinese herbal medicine additives can improve the performance of weanling piglets.0.1%Chinese herbal medicine additives group and colistin sulfate group obvious improve the average daily gain on every periods(P<0.05),can obvious decrease feed/weight ratio on the late stage of the experiment and the test period(P<0.05),and can significantly reduce the diarrhea rate(P<0.01),but the effect of 0.1%Chinese herbal medicine is better.(2)Chinese herbal medicine additives can improve the immune performance of weanling piglets.Chinese herbal medicine additives groups obvious increase the content of immunoglobulin A on 14 day and the contents of interleukin-6 on 28 day(P<0.05),obvious increase the content ofinterleukin-10 and nitric oxide of two samples(P<0.05),0.1%,0.15%Chinese herbal medicine additives groups significantly increase the content of immunoglobulin A on 28 day(P<0.01),increase the contents of complement protein 4 of two sampling(P<0.05).Among them,0.1%Chinese herbal medicine addtives group is more than the control group.(3)Chinese herbal medicine additives can reduce the stress level of weanling piglets.Chinese herbal medicine additives groups obvious decrease the content of creatine kinase on 14 day(P<0.05)and significantly decrease the content of creatine kinase on 28 day(P<0.01),obvious decrease the content of somatostatin on 28 day(P<0.05),0.1%,0.15%Chinese herbal medicine additives groups obvious decrease the contents of lactate dehydrogenase of two samples(P<0.05).(4)Chinese herbal medicine additives promote protein synthesis of weanling piglets.0.1%,0.15%Chinese herbal medicine additives groups obvious increase the content of total protein on 28 day(P<0.05),obvious increase the content of albumin and globulin of two samples(P<0.05),obvious reduce the content of urea nitrogen on 14 day(P<0.05),Chinese herbal medicine additives groups significantly decrease the content of urea nitrogen on 28 day(P<0.01).(5)Chinese herbal medicine additives promote the microbial balance of weanling piglets.Chinese herbal medicine additives groups obvious decrease the amount of escherichia coli on 14 day and 28 day,obvious increase the amount of bifidobacterium on 28 day,significantly increase the amount of lactobacillus on 28 day.Based on the experimental results,Chinese herbal additives and colistin sulfate can significantly improve the production performance,immune performance and balance of bacteria of weanling piglets.The optimal dosage of Chinese herbal medicine additive is 0.1%,and the effect on the indexes is better than that of colistin sulfate.
