Saline soil, also known as saline alkali soil,is the general name of all saline soil, alkaline soil and saline soil.Excessive salt in the soil will cause osmotic stress, ion stress and secondary stress of three kinds of major damage, inhibit the production of energy and promote metabolic disorders, which affects plant growth and physiological function, even lead to the death of plants.Cultivated soybean is a very important economic and oil crop, but the yield decreased significantly under saline environment.Wild soybean is a kind of wild species of cultivated soybean, which has the characteristics of high protein, high yield and strong salt tolerance. Here,we used wild soybean(Glycine soja)and cultivated soybean(Glycine max)as the experimental material, and soybeans were treated by neutral-salt stress and alkali-salt stress when they grew third leaves. After the stresses treatment, the growth and growth parameters of wild soybean and cultivated soybean were measured,68 differential metabolites were quantified and identified in each polar extract, and to reveal the metabolic mechanism of salt tolerance of wild soybean and cultivated soybean. The conclusions of this experiment are as follows:(1)According to comparisons of growth parameters under the two kinds of salt stresses, the level of inhibition in wild soybean was lower than in cultivated soybean, especially under alkali-salt stress.(2)Further investigations demonstrated that the ability of wild soybean to salt tolerance was mainly based on the synthesis of organic and amino acids, and the more active tricarboxylic acid cycle under neutral-salt stress.(3)the metabolite profiling analysis suggested that the energy generation from ?-oxidation,glycolysis and the citric acid cycle plays important roles under alkali-salt stress. This study provides a theoretical basis for the excellent gene mining of wild soybean, the genetic basis for broadening soybean cultivars and the sustainable production of soybean, and also provides aquantitative parameter system for the cultivation of soybean.Meanwhile,it also has significance as a reference for the study of plant evolution.
