Study On Plant Perception Influencing Factors And Value Recognition

The perception and recognition of plants are the prerequisite and basis of plant planning and design.Research which is related to plant landscape now is focus on only one or several parts of plant characteristics,or concentrated on specific historical periods and specific plant floristics.Up till now,perception research in plant is almost blank.In this study,the exploratory factor analysis and structural equation model were used to explore the public plant perception and value recognition.Based on the existing research results and the comprehensive perspective which is contained of nature context and culture context,the plant perception influencing factor index system and the value recognition structural equation model were constructed.Then taking the public in Hubei Province and the surrounding provinces as the investigation object,this study used methods such as questionnaires and interviews to conduct a pre-investigation in August 2016 and a formal investigation and interviews in in October-December 2016.596 valid questionnaires were obtained finally.The results show that in general,the public perception of plant is consistent with the assumptions of the research.Taking a further look,the result is more in-depth than expected."Aesthetic characteristics" perception is divided into "visual leading" and "non-visual leading" common factors.The public of different age groups have similarities to plant perception,but the detail is also different.In value recognition,the recognition of "aesthetic characteristics ","space characteristics " and "cultural characteristics" has positive effect on plant value recognition,but the effect of “life characteristics” is not significant.The conclusions are as follows.(1)"Life characteristics","aesthetic characteristics ","space characteristics " and "cultural characteristics" are important plant perception influencing factors.Next,"aesthetic characteristics","cultural characteristics" and "spatial characteristics" are important positive influencing factors of plant value recognition,and the effect is weakened in turn.(2)The plant perception influencing factors are influenced by the multiple attributes of the interviewees themselves.(4)Visual perception is a key way of plant perception and value recognition.(5)The plant perception and value recognition is dominated by "Intuitive perception" whereas "hypothetical perception" is scarce.
