Ostrinaia furnacalis is the most important and harmful agricultural pests in maize production in Xinjiang lately.It can generally reduce the yield by 10% ~ 30% and even reduced more than 50% when seriously damaged,which will seriously affect the quality of maize and reduce the corn grade.At present,the research on the occurrence regularity and control technology of Ostrinaia furnacalis in Xinjiang is relatively weak.In this paper,the population dynamics and dispersal mode of Ostrinaia furnacalis in the main maize producing areas in this region are investigated for two consecutive years.According to the weak link of the occurrence and spread of population,this paper puts forward the establishment of a comprehensive scientific control technology for maize borers in line with the actual production in Kashgar area,which will be effective in preventing and controlling the occurrence of Ostrinaia furnacalis and provide a guidance on the healthy development of maize industry in Kashgar area.The main findings are as follows:1.To find out the dynamics of maize Ostrinaia furnacalis in the main maize producing areas in Kashgar areaThrough two consecutive years,2015 and 2016,the population dynamics and dispersal mode were analysised by using field-based survey system in Kashgar area.The results shows that: the region during its entire period of Ostrinaia furnacalis into a moth have 3 peaks in early June,early August and early September separately.Three Ovum peaks in mid-June,early August and early September.Three larvae peaks followed by early July,mid-August and late September.2.The regular pattern of dispersal was clarified in the main maize producing areas in Kashgar areaThe population dynamics and spread of maize borer in Kashgar area were studied for consist two years by sexual attractant traps and field investigation.The results showed that the more closer of the distance from insect source location,the more of the number of eggs,larvae and pupae in the corn field,and the more serious the damage.which indicated that the flying ability of Ostrinaia furnacalis into moth was relatively higher than that of the control group(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the number of moths collected at different distances in the same period,the scope of its activities are not confined to the near of emergence location.3.The scientific control technology of Ostrinaia furnacalis was established in the main producing areas of Kashgar3.1 Study on selection of pesticide types and pesticide dosagesThis article in 2014,2015 for two consecutive years to carry out the corn field conventional spray efficacy screening test,involving a total of 16 kinds of high efficiency and low toxicity drugs 30 treatment.By comprehensive consideration of factors such as control effect,retrieved production,insecticede cost and net increase benefit,best use of insecticede and the dosage of corresponding insecticede was proposed as followed: Coragen at dosage of 4 ml/667 m~2,45% emamectin benzoate and lufenuron water dispersible granules at dosage of 10 g/667 m~2,abamectin and chlorantraniliprole at dosage of 30 ml/667 m~2,4% Methoxyfenozide at dosage of 40 ml/667 m~2,Chlorantraniliprole and beta-cyfluthrin at dosage of 12.5 ml/667 m~2,Chloran-traniliprole amd Thiamethoxam 8 g/667 m~2,22% Thiamethoxam and beta-cyfluthrin 20 ml/667 m~2.3.2 Study on control effect of different application periodIn this paper,we conducted a further study on the field control of Ostrinaia furnacalis in differentapplication periods.The results showed that the average control effect,corn yield,pure increase efficiency and input-output ratio were 88.48%,113.31 kg / 667 m~2,195.76 yuan / 667 m~2 and 1: 24.87 respectively.Followed by the spawning period,the average control effect,corn yield,pure increase efficiency and input-output ratio were 81.71%,85.75 kg / 667 m~2,146.15 yuan / 667 m~2 and 1: 18.82.The effect of pesticide application was not good.Although the control of Ostrinaia furnacalis eggs during the hatching stage has the best control effect,because of this period of corn plants are generally tall,It is hard to ensure the quality of spraying,Thus,control at oviposition stage is prior recommended in the production.3.3 Comparative study on the control effect of four green control techniques on Ostrinaia furnacalisControl of four kinds of scientific control technology shows that: the release of Trichogramma,Environmental friendly medicament,the new LED insect control lamp,induced by the four kinds of Ostrinaia furnacalis scientific control against the spread of corn field Ostrinaia furnacalis in the whole growing seasons were 33.8%,45.87%,17.81% and 18.11% respectively.And retrieving the economic loss rate were 22.06%,32.83%,20.31% and 21.19% respectively,the input-output ratio were 1: 5.31,1: 21.1,1:7.61,1: 8.70.Considering the field control effect,retrieving the economic loss rate,input-output ratio and other factors,Environmental friendly medicament and release Trichogramma is the ideal control technology for preventing and controlling Ostrinaia furnacalis.
