A study on growth and development of A.glycines fed on G.soja at different growth stages was conducted at 13?,18?,23?,28? and 33?.Soybean HN70 and wild soybean LM,PS and TYD were used in this study.Nymphs of A.glycines were individually reared to adults using leaf disc method.Adults of A.Glycines were individually reared using small clip-cages.Population parameters,life-table parameters and body sizes of A.glycines fed on different growth stage hosts were studied. These results were as follows:(1)Soybean aphid developed and reproduced better on vegetative soybean than on wild soybean. At 13-28?,survival curve of A.glycines fed on wild soybeans all lower than that on soybean.At18,28,and 33?,there were no significant differences in nymph stages of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybean. At 13? and 23?,there were no significant differences in nymph stages of A.Glycines fed on vegetative stage wild soybeans, which were all shorter than that on vegetative soybean. At 13?,adult longevity and fecundity of A.glycines fed on soybean were longer/bigger than that on LM and TYD.At 18?,adult longevity and fecundity of A.glycines fed on soybean were longer/bigger than that on PS and TYD.At 23? and 28?,adult longevity and fecundity of A.glycines fed on soybean were both longer bigger than that on wild soybean. At 13?,there were no significant differences in intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybean. At 18?,intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on soybean was bigger than that on PS and TYD.At 28?,intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on soybean was bigger than that on wild soybeans. At 13?,28?,and 33?,there were no significant differences in body sizes of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybeans. At 18?,there were no significant differences in body sizes of A.glycines fed on HN70,LM,and PS.(2)Soybean aphid on reproductive soybean developed and reproduced as same well as that on wild soybean. At 13?,18?,28?,and 33?,survival curve of A.glycines fed on soybean varied as same as that on wild soybeans. At 13? and 33?,there were no significant differences in adult longevity and fecundity of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybeans. At 18?,there were no significant differences in adult longevity of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybeans.Adult fecundity of A.glycines fed on LM was as same big as that on soybean.Adult fecundity of A.glycines fed on PS and TYD were both smaller than that on soybean. At 23?,the adult longevity and fecundity on TYD wereboth as same long/big as that on soybean, but they were short/small than that on LM and PS.At 28?,there were no significant differences in adult longevity on HN70,LM,and PS.The fecundity of A.glycines fed on LM and PS were both as same as big as that on soybean. And fecundity on TYD was smaller than that on soybean. At 13?,there were no significant differences in intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on wild soybeans, which were all bigger than that on soybean. At 18?,there were no significant differences in intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on wild soybeans, which were all smaller than that on soybean. At 23?,intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on soybean was smaller than that on wild soybeans. At 28?,intrinsic rate of increase of A.glycines fed on soybean was smaller than that on PS,but it was bigger than that on LM and TYD.At 13?,28?,and 33?,there were no significant differences in body sizes of A.glycines fed on soybean and wild soybeans. At 18?,these body sizes of A.glycines fed on wild soybeans were all as same as that on soybean. At 23?,the body size of A.glycines fed on TYD was as same as that on soybean, but it was smaller than that on LM and PS.
