Sugar beet is the most important sugar crop in northern China,and is one of the major agricultural crops in Inner Mongolia,The area has a direct impact on beet sugar production.It is very important to determine accurately and non-destructively the nitrogen nutrition status of sugar beet in real time and control reasonably nitrogen application for the growth of sugar beet.In order to monitor the nitrogen content of sugar beet at different growth stages in real time.This paper designed a nitrogen diagnosis system based on reflectance spectrum.The hardware design uses spectrometer,light source emitter,test tube rack,etc.The spectrometer model is SE1040-25-VNIR;The C++ programming language in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 development environment was used as the part of software design.The experimental data collected from beet experimental field of 2015 in Inner Mongolia Agricultural University,Hohhot City,was adopted in this study to develop the nitrogen diagnosis model of sugar beet canopy.The main research is as follows:(1)Combined with the existing spectrometers and related hardware modules,build a new hardware detection system.Using light emitters in the detection system,improve the quality of the light source;In the reflected light signal receiving process,using optical fiber collimator and with long,short fiber,improve the spectrometer to collect the signal quality.(2)System functional requirements analysis,design of software function module.The software can realize the spectrometer connection,take the standard white light intensity,data extraction,data analysis and calculation of diagnosis,through modeling,data storage and other basic functions.(3)According to the measured experimental data,beet canopy spectral reflectance and correlation with nitrogen content were analyzed,and optimal band reflectivity was selected to establish nitrogen diagnosis model.The the most suitable diagnosis models of sugar beet in different growth period were optimized and the software system embedded with those models was used for beet canopy leaf nitrogen diagnosis.(4)One of the important work of this study is to complete nitrogen diagnosis system function debugging.The research is to carry out on software nitrogen content measurement function debugging through the extraction of the beet canopy spectral characteristics,spectrometer hardware connection and data communication function debugging,and data storage function and interface function debugging using the diagnosis model to predict of nitrogen content.Nondestructive detecting technology was used in the design system to carry on nutritional diagnosis of beet,and the automatic analysis and prediction of nitrogen content of canopy leaves of sugar beet were realized.This study provides a new method for fast and nondestructive estimation of leaf nitrogen content of sugar beet,and is of great significance for sugar production in the future.
