The characteristics of meat production in sheep include growth traits,reproductive traits and meat quality traits.Mutton sheep breeding is characterized by early slaughter,small investment and quick turnover,so it is favored by herdsmen and ranchers.At the same time,mutton is very popular with consumers because of its delicious meat,lw fat and low cholesterol.Therefore,it is urgent to improve the quality of meat production traits in mutton sheep.In this study,we incorporated a variety of proteomic approaches such as transcriptome,genomics,and epigenetics to dig out molecular markers related to meat production in sheep.Using transcriptome analysis,we identified molecular markers related to weight gain in sheep;Using the method of whole genome selection and gene penetration,combined with the data of sheep chip,we found the molecular markers related to the reproductive traits of sheep;Using MeDIP-seq sequencing technique,the effects of DNA methylation on different sheep were explored in epigenetics,and the related molecular markers affecting the meat quality of sheep were found.The main results are of this research as follows:(1)Through the transcriptome analysis of blood,combined with phenotypic data,we found 135 molecular markers associated with weight gain traits in sheep;(2)Based on the Whole Genome Resequencing,we found 107 molecular markers related to the reproductive traits of sheep;(3)Based on the MeDIP-seq sequencing data,we identified 222 molecular markers related to the meat quality traits of sheep;Through the above research methods,we can not only provide a new idea and method to select the molecular markers related to the meat performance traits of the sheep,but also design the probes for early breeding selection Meanwhile,it can also provide a new direction of the early breeding of economic traits of sheep and improve the meat performance traits of the sheep.
