Numerical simulation technology continues to progress with the rapid development of computer progress. It is widely applied to water conservancy, environment, port channels, flood control and other fields of engineering, providing an important guiding role for engineering design,construction and the waters of the sustainable development.The hydraulics problem of the intake involves a broad, relatively complex theoretical issues.Research on those complex issues need to invest more time and effort. Research on split ratio of water intake has important significance in the irrigation project. Research on flow patterns of water intake is important for understanding the movement of water near the water intake and the rational arrangement of water intake.This article is based on the design data about 859 irrigation district of Engineering Design Company. A two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of intake and the relevant part of Wusuli River is build. Numerical simulation technology is used in the simulation analysis. The following research is completed in this paper:(1)Build the two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of 859 water intake and the relevant part of Wusuli River. The analog computation is carried out respectively in the condition of design water level, the mean water level, the minimum operation water level and flood frequency for P=20%, P=10%.The water diversion flow is calculated. The shape of surface of the water intake and the relevant part of Wusuli River and the flow field around the water intake is analyzed.(2)The water diversion flow is calculated while the end of the intake's levels is changed in the condition of design water level, the mean water level and the minimum operation water level.The rules of Split ratio changing with the end of the intake's levels is concluded. The influence of the Split ratio to the intake and the relevant part of Wusuli River.(3) Adjust the position of guide wall in the intake's upstream while the size of the channel and the diverting angle is constant. Move the left bank of the intake 10m,20m,30m,40m,50m back.The water diversion flow is calculated in the condition of design water level. And the relationships of water diversion flow changed with the position of the guide wall is concluded.The optimal solution is selected by analyzing the flow pattern around the intake. It might provide a good reference to the diversion and irrigation work.
