Diagnosis And Treatment Of Acute And Chronic Renal Failure In Canine And Feline

On the clinical side,kidney dysfunction can be divided into acute renal failure(ARF)and chronic renal failure(CRF).Kidney is an important metabolic regulation organs of the body.When kidney function appeared disorders,the body will express a serious abnormal condition.This investigation collected the dogs and cats renal failure cases from Nanjing ShiHuang Pet Hospital and Shenzhen Union Pet Hospital during the period of 2013-2015.I completed the statistical work through search system,chooseing cases,and analyzing data.The individual case was diagnosed mainly through the medical history,clinical symptoms and laboratory examination.Clinical laboratory tests includ blood routine tests,biochemical test,urine routine examination,urine sediment examination,B-ultrasound and X-ray examination.And then I analyzed the rusults about before or after treatment.Experiment I The survey about the incidence of acute and chronic renal failure in dogs and cats in six pet hospital of Nanjing and Shenzhen.We investigate cases of acute and chronic renal failure in dogs and cats of two regions.(1)The number of renal failure in canine and feline is a rising year by year by comparing the cases between 2013 and 2015.(2)The incidence of feline acute renal failure is significantly higher than that of the canine by comparing the number of dogs and cats the have this disease each year.The incidence of chronic renal failure in canine is slightly higher than that of the feline.(3)By comparing the the relationship between age and the incidence of the disease,there is a high incidence of acute renal failure from 3 to 6 years of age,and a high incidence of chronic renal failure older than 7 years of age.(4)By analyzing the data to find the relationship between the disease incidence and sex,we found male kidney failure is significantly higher than female.(5)By analyzing the date to find the relationship between the disease incidence and varieties,we found that cat has a high incidence in Persian and Ragdoll,meanwhile dog has a high incidence in Poodle and Schnauzer.Experiment II The diagnosis and treatment of typical cases of acute or chronic renal failure in dogs and cats.Though analyzing the result of typical cases diagnosis and treatment in the two areas:(1)By sick animal’s blood and urine analysis.We found that the concentration of serum creatinine,urea nitrogen,and phosphorus will be increased significantly.(2)If the pets with acute renal failure can quickly line through oliguria stage,general prognosis is good,otherwise probably soon died.(3)When the chronic renal failure cases sent to hospital,the cat or dog has suffered from kidney failure in 3 to 4 grade.Due to renal parenchymal serious wastage damage and its function serious degenerat,the case mostly has a poor prognosis.
