5-Aminolevuinic acid(ALA)is a newly environment-friendly plant growth regulator,which is natural,non-toxic and biodegradable.'CropSpring',a water soluble foliar fertilizer,contains ALA as its main active components.Previous works proved that 'Corpspring'could prompt plant development,increase yield and improve crop qualities.Potato and sweet com,general fruit and vegetable,possesses a definite economic value.However,there were no relevant reports of 'Corpspring' application in potato and sweet com.We used potato and sweet com as experimental material.The different experimental treatments are as follow:Application research of potato cultivation without soil:In order to attain photosynthetic physiological characteristics basis of 'CropSpring' application in potato,we investigated the effects of 'CropSpring' on potato chlorophyll contents and chlorophyll fluorescence with 'Holland No.15'.Using 1/2 Hoagland nutrient solution and 1/2 Hoagland + 'CropSpring' 3000-fold dilution as the treatment methods.Research of potato cultivation in farm:Using 'CropSpring' 3000-fold dilution at different phonological periods of 'Holland No.15',in which soaking at sowing and spraying at other period,we revealed the effects of different 'CropSpring' treatments period on potato chlorophyll contents,chlorophyll fluorescence and plant yield.Research of sweet com cultivation in farm:'Meiyu No.16',a sweet com cultivar,used to reveal effects of different treatment times with 'CropSpring' on sweet com leaves physiology,com yield and qualities.We used water as control,spray 'Corpspring' once and twice on sweet com leaves in June 06,2015 and June 18.Spraying standard:we sprayed different solutions with sprayer on sweet com leaves evenly until the surface of the sweet corn was wet completely.The main results are as follows:1.1/2 Hoagland + 'Corpspring' 3000-fold dilution could significantly increase potato leaves SPAD,photosynthetic performance index(PItotal,PIABS),oxidation reduction rate of electrons in PSI,and decrease inhibition degree of donor in PS? reaction center(WK)and relative fluorescence of J phase(VJ)(P<0.05).Hence,we deem that 'Corpspring' could improve photosynthetic capacity of potato leaves exceedingly.2.Using 'CropSpring,at different phonological periods,all could improve relative chlorophyll content and chlorophyll fluorescence of potato,and prompt photosynthetic electron transfer and energy conversion.In addition,'CropSpring' could heighten plant height,thicken stem diameter,enlarge leaf area,and also improve number of potatoes per plant and total outputs.Results indicate that using 'CropSpring' could enhance potato photosynthetic characteristics and increase yield significantly,particularly spraying the fertilizer in potato expansion stage or dry matter accumulation stage.From aspect of agricultural production,we recommend spraying 'CropSpring' in potato late growth stage.3.Spraying sweet com leaves with 'CropSpring',it was found that 'CropSpring' could increase sweet com leaves SPAD,improve photosynthetic characteristics,plant height,stem diameter,panicle length,panicle diameter and crop yield.Beside,'CropSpring' also could reduce the rate of bald tip,and ultimately improve the yield and qualities.Meanwhile,spraying twice obtained the best effects than others.Therefore,we imply that 'CropSpring'could be applied in com cultivation and advice that spraying 'CropSpring' two times.
