Sugarcane is a kind of important crop of Yunnan province.Since sugarcanes are mainly planted in mountain regions and sloping fields,traditional sugarcane planters could not meetrequirements of sugarcane planting.Therefore,a sugarcane planter that is suitable forsugarcane plant of Yunnan is in urgent need to relieve labor of planting and improve productivity.The essay mainly studied improvement design of critical components based on traditional road wheel driven sugarcane planters from the following aspects:(1)The essay discussed shortcomings of traditional wheeled sugarcane planters according to topography of sugarcane planting in Yunnan and the new type road wheel driven planters with improvement design in critical components.The planter adopted double disk digger which could finish processes like ditching,cutting,fertilizing,laminating and earthing in one time effort,thus greatly improving the efficiency of sugarcane planting.The sugarcane planter could generally meet practical demands of sugarcane growers.(2)The essay analyzed sugarcane planters like whole bar planters,pre-cut planters and real-time cut planter according to requirements of agriculture,and compared hydraulic drive and road wheel drive.The newly designed sugarcane planter adopted road wheel drive.And the essay calculated total resistance of sugarcane planters in the state of transport and working in fields,thus obtaining the efficiency of pull sugarcane planters under working conditions.(3)The essay analyzed shortcomings of traditional sugarcane planters.For example,land wheels of traditional road wheel driven sugarcane planters were easy to hang in the air or slipped when working in sloping fields,which would avoid planters to cut and thus affect sugarcane planting.And moreover,the fertilizer apparatus could not fertilize evenly,which would affect rising trends.There had knives in cutting apparatus and holding devices clamped sugarcane too loose or too tight.Improvement design was carried out in road wheel running gears,fertilizer apparatus and cutting devices.(4)The essay analyzed modeling and force of the whole planter.And the author had a three-dimensional modeling on components by use of SolidWorks and assembled components.Then,the author used the quality attribute of the three-dimensional software to obtain the center of gravity of the whole planter so as to provide an important basis for arrangement of various components.In the end,the author analyzed the load-carrying capability of the planter.(5)The author had a finite element analysis on the mainframe and digger with the ANSYS Workbench 15.0,the software of finite element analysis,thus obtaining the displacement nephogram and equivalent stress nephogram,from which it could be found that the maximum deformation of the mainframe was 4.473 mm and it was in the end of the fixed fertilizer box.The maximum deformation of the digger was in the end of the digger with the maximum deformation being 0.13043 mm.From the equivalent stress nephogram,it could be known that the maximum stress of the mainframe was 163.9MPa,and it was located in the joint of the truss and the rear of the mainframe,thus the improvement was made.
