Field pipe network the most basic irrigation unit of drip irrigation system.In this paper,combind with numerical simulationand theoretical analysis,reserached on hydraulic characteristics and calculation method of two-stage branch pipe network for drip irrigation ,in order to improve irrigation quality and reduce engineering cost.It is important to plan,design andmanage drip irrigation network in the field.The main research results are as follows:(1)A new layout of field pipe network for drip irrigation was put forward. A branch pipe was added to the layout of field pipe network for drip irrigation in the one-stage branch pipe to form a new type of drip irrigation field pipe network with two with two branch pipes ,in order to increase the contral area of drip irrigation field pipe network and reduce the cost of drip irripetion system,it was easy to manage. Based on the principle of energy and mass conservation, and combined with the empirical formula of the relationship between emitter pressure and flow rate,a mathematical model of hydraulic calculation for two-stage branch pipe network of pipe network of drip irrigation is established,and its calculation method was put forward. The model can be used to calculate the pressure andflow of drip emitters in field network.(2) The numerical simulation of drip irrigation two-stage branch pipe field network was carried out by using the established mathematical model of hydraulic calculation of two-stagebranch pipe of drip irrigation.Analysis of the levels B of pipe slope,it all levels of the pipe diameter pipe orifice number and orifice spacing levels,capillary slope,lateral diamete,number and influence of emitter emitter spacing and other factors on the two-stage branch pipe drip irrigation field network technology index and economic index. The technical indexes include irrigation uniformity, flow deviation rate and pressure head deviation rate, the main economic indicators are the investment per unit area of the field pipe network.(3) In combination with engineering case, a drip irrigation system was designed with the drip irrigation two-stage branch pipe field network as the basic irrigation unit. When other conditions were the same, compared with the drip irrigation system with the one-stage branch pipe field network as the basic irrigation unit, Irrigation system of drip irrigation with two-stage branch pipe field network as basic irrigation unit the irrigation uniformity can be increased 1.62% and the annual cost was saved 10.83%.It shows that the drip irrigation system with the two-syage branch pipe field network is the basic irrigation unit, and the technical and economic indexes are better than the drip irrigation system with the one-stage branch pipe field network as the basic irrigation unit.
