Through understanding the physics group and the basic physicochemical properties of seven kinds of soil(17#bei?17#nan?15#gaotai?15#dakuai?14#sha?14#di and Nanxin)coming from the Gaotai county of Gansu province,the experiment explores the effect of soil's physicochemical properties on the seedling growth of seed watermelon,and explores the biggest soil factors.Besides,by the two ways(salt treating and amending),the experiment studies the influence of the amended soil the seedling growth.As well as,the study researches on different cultural density,the ways of training and fruiting-node affecting the fruit and seed yield in the filed.Draw some conclusions as followed:1.In seven soils,because of high salt content and poor soil structure,14#di and nanxin are not very suitable for the growth of seed watermelon;17#bei and 15#gaotai are heavy sandy soil,and their aggregate content are low,preservation of water and fertilizer performance are poor,so they can not obtain high seed watermelon yield;Though 17#nan and 15#dakuai have certain viscosity,the soil physical properties are bigger,such as field moisture capacity,optimum moisture content.Therefore,two soils are easier to obtain high yield than sandy soil;14#sha soil aggregate content is better,water stability structure is great,soil saturation waterholding capacity is the biggest and porosity are better,so 14#sha is the most suitable for the growth of seed watermelon in the field.2.The results of seedling growth test show that,seedling emergence rate are the lowest in the high salt content of 14#di and nanxin,and seedling growth index is the worst;Seedlings total biomass in the 17#bei sandy soil is relatively small,but the related indexes of root is relatively better than 17#nan sticky soil;The total biomass of 15#dakuai and 17#nan are higher than 17#bei and 15#gaotai;Seedlings in 14#sha soil on the ground,underground fresh and dry weight,fresh and dry weight of whole plant,root shoot ratio and other indicators are the top spear.3.The results of leaves and roots physiological indexes are not strong regularity.The chlorophyll content of seedlings is higher in the high salt soil,and the content of MDA is also higher.The root active area and absorption gross area are larger in the 14#sha,15#gaotai and 17#bei,15#dakuai and 17#nan are the middle,but the high salt 14#di and nanxin are smaller.Therefore,the soil salt content affects the growth and function of the root.4.The experiment of amended soil(increasing or decreasing salt)further verifies the effect of salt content on seedling growth.The addition of sand and organic matter to the high salt content soil is beneficial to the improvement of seedling emergence rate and growth index.The 17#yuan,which is relatively good in soil,is significantly improved by the improvement of sand and organic matter,such as ground fresh dry weight,underground fresh dry weight,whole plant fresh weight and root shoot ratio.5.The effect of fruit-setting on the fruit and seed yield of seed waterwatermelon is synchronous,and the fruit yield is significantly reduced in the low position fruit.On the main vine,above 10 nodes are relatively high,there are a little loss of 7-9 section,and the loss of 5-6 were obvious;The fruit and seed yield of the different fruit setting on the secondary vine are similar to that of the high nodes on the main vine.6.With the increase of planting density,the weight of single fruit decreases.The 2000 plants /667m2 is the lowest,and the 3000 plants /667m2 and 4000 plants /667m2 are similar.The seed yield of 3000 plants /667m2 is higher,and the 2000 plants /667m2 is similar to 4000 plants /667m2.Single fruit weight and fruit yield of double vine training are relatively high,followed by three vine training or single vine pruning.
