Plug seedlings transplanting not only can make full use of light and heat resources,but also is able to advance the growth period of the crop,and have incomparable advantages comparing with live streaming.The transplanting method of plug seedlings has two types of artificial transplanting and transplanting machine transplanting.Compared with artificial transplanting,transplanting machine transplanting can reduce labor intensity,improve transplanting efficiency,and ensure the quality of transplanting and transplanting precision.At present,transplanting machines are generally semi-automatic based on artificial auxiliary.Moreover,due to the effect of artificial picking up seedling feeding speed,semi-automatic transplanting machine can not be widely used.Therefore,on the basis of the early design of automatic transplanting machine fro m research team,we carried out the improved design for aiming at shutdown failure and no active work during the transplanting process of the early machine.The PLC c ontrol system is added,the switch control mechanism is replaced,the connecting rod handle mechanism of the plug tray moving device is improved,and the transmission mode of the soil covering device is improved,and the relevant experimental research is carried out?The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Improved design of Automatic transplanting machine for plug seedling in dry land.It was finished with the selection of PLC control system of the machine and t he electric line connection and the control procedure of the machine.And the improv ed design of three main parts of the machine and the whole assembly were carried o ut,including the moving mechanism of point plate,the mechanism of switch control and the drive mechanism of soil covering.(2)3D solid modeling of new transplanting machine.we using 3D solid modeling software UG and features of the operation of the tensile,swept,and the edge of t he circle and other functions to carry out the 3D solid modeling of the each key me chanism of the transplanting machine,and to assembly mechanism and the whole mac hine.Structure and size of necessary parts were modified or adjusted for aiming at in stallation interference and structural redundancy in the modeling process.(3)Field experiment of the improved automatic transplanting machine for plug se edling in dry land.The field performance test of transplanting machine,and the contr ast test between the original machine with the improved machine,between different ty pes of the transplanting machine produced different manufacturers,and between the i mproved transplanting machine with artificial planting were carried out.The analysis of experimental data shown that planting frequency,quality and prec ision of the improved transplanting machine meet the industry standard,the planting f requency was 2.64 strains per second,the seedling injury rate was 1.13%,the leakage rate was 3.62%,the planting rate was 0.10%,the buried seedling rate was 1.81%,th e dew seedling rate was 1.58%.,the lodging rate was 2.73%.The standard deviation of row spacing was 3.79 cm,and the variation of planting depth coefficient was 11.9,while the planting rate of the improved transplanting machine was up to 88.33%.Planting frequency,planting quality and precision of the improved automatic trans planting machine is higher than before.Compared with the Tian naier transplanting m achine,planting frequency of two machines are quite,and planting quality of our mac hine are almost better than that in parts,while the precision planting of our machine is more accurate than that.Compared with artificial transplanting,the planting frequen cy is 3.26 times of the artificial planting,and the precision of the planting is much b etter than the precision of the artificial planting.
