As a perennial economic crops, tea has a economic production period of 40-60 years. With the increase of tea tree age,as well as the unfavorable factors such as the deterioration of the growth environment and unreasonable management techniques,low-quality and low-efficiency tea gardens are produced.According to the statistics, the cultivated area of Guangxi local group cultivar and Yunnan broadleaf group cultivar is about 425000 hectare occupy 38.40%of the total area of the tea plantations in Guangxi, however most of which are low-quality and low-benefit tea gardens. In this paper, according to the characteristics of low-yield and low-efficiency tea gardens in Guangxi, the key technologies of improving and enhancing the quality of low-quality tea gardens are researched, which will provide technical reference for promoting the quality and efficiency of tea gardens in Guangxi. The main results obtained were as follows:1.Deep pruning is a better way to transform low-productive and low-yield tea canopy in Guangxi, which is good for recovering tree vigor, improving tea quality, accumulating the highest yield and good economic returns.2.Mix 500kg Tong bran,25kg calcium magnesium phosphate(fertilizer)and 2kg biological starter to make compost.Fertility method using 1500 kg/ha compound fertilizer and 6300 kg/ha compost as base fertilizer,600 kg/ha compound fertilizer as twice topdressing has a relatively good effect.3.Physical methods such as pruning, entirely picking and using pheromone and yellow sticky board combination traps bring outstanding control effect of Empoasca pirisuga Matumura.4.22%Alica,24%Chlorfenapyr,15%Indoxacarb to Empoasca pirisuga Matumura control effect is good, can be used in non-organic tea garden.General effect of 24%Chlorfenapyr is best, which control effect reach 94.6%after two weeks.5.15%Indoxacarb,22%Alica,15%Tolfenpyrad to Ectropis oblique(Prout)control effect is good, can be used in non-organic tea garden.General effect of 15%Tolfenpyrad is best, which control effect more than 86%.
