Serological Investigation Of Pseudo-rabies Virus Infection In Some Large Scale Pig Farms In Guangxi And Pseudo-rabies Wild Poisonous Purification Test In Two Large Scale Pig Farms

The present study examined the level of Pseudorabies virus(PRV)gE antibody of pigs at different stages in five large-scale pig farms in some parts of Guangxi.The results showed that all five pig farms were infected with different degrees of pseudo rabies wild virus.The positive rate of the total PRV gE antibody was 50.2%,and the positive rate of PRV gE antibody in five large-scale pig farms were between 40%and 70.8%.Among them,the highest positive rate of PRV gE antibodies in fattening pigs was 59.9%,followed by 46.4%of nursing pigs.The minimum positive rate for boars was 27.8%.The positive rates of PRV gE antibodies in sows,gilts and nursery pigs were 45.3%,43.3%and 34.6%,respectively.The positive rate of PRV and gE antibodies in different day old fattening pigs was analyzed.In the A pig farm,the positive rate of pseudo-rabies gE antibody increased significantly on fattening pigs group larger than 12 weeks old.The positive rate of E pig farm increased significantly on fattening pigs group larger than 14 weeks old,indicating the presence of pseudo-rabies wild virus infection in pigs at this stage.Through adjusting immune procedure,detection and phase out pseudo-rabies wild virus infected swine,adding negative gilts and strengthen biosafety,gradually complete pseudo-rabies purification in pig farms.After two years of pseudo-rabies virus purification,pseudo-rabies gE antibody positive rate of boar in A pig farm decreased from 9.1%to 0,and the positive rate of breeding sows decreased from 37.6%to 0,showed that the pseudo-rabies wild virus has been basically purified in A pig farm.In E farms,boars remained pseudo-rabies wild virus negative,pseudo-rabies gE antibody positive rate of breeding sows decreased from 34.6%to 5%,and obtained a ideal purification effect.The next step in the E farm is to test pseudo-rabies gE antibodies in all breeding sows and eliminate the positive sows.From the sampling results of fattening pigs in A and E pig farms,pseudo-rabies gE antibody was completely changed to negative at 10 weeks,and could be maintained over 22 weeks old,showed that the current purification scheme has achieved good results.
