Pseudorabies (PR) caused by Pseudorabies virus (PRV) infection in a variety of domestic and wild animals and suffered from fever, itching except pigs, and encephalomyelitis. The pseudorabies serological survey was performed applicatiing blocking ELISA method in Zhejiang six large-scale pig farms. Meanwhile, tree different commercial pseudorabies vaccines including a an imported live and two natively made vaccines were used to immune the pigs in a pig farm under the same conditions. The pseudorabies antibody levels and pig production were analysed.1. Seudorabies serologic survey in six large-scale pig farms in Zhejiang ProvinceThe commercial test kit (IDEXX Corporation) for pseudorabies virus gE gene and ELISA test kit for gB gene antibodies were used to detect pseudorabies virus wild strain infection and the gB gene antibody levels. In2009-2010, in Zhejiang Province,615pig sera from the six large-scale pig farms were detected. The results showed that Pseudorabies virus wild virus (gE gene) antibody positive rate reached41.6%on average, of which the lowest pig wild virus (gE gene) antibodies of7.8%, up to63.4%, while the positive rate of the herds of sow, boar, piglets and growing finishing pigs were39.7%,54.5%,32.1%and51.1%, respectively. The Pseudorabies neutralizing (gB gene) antibody positive rate reached72%on average, of which the lowest pig neutralizing (gB gene) antibodies of60.9%, up to95.7%, while the positive rate of the herds of sow, boar, piglets and growing-finishing pigs were90.4%,90.9%,63.5%and65.8%, respectively. Indicating that the immune states of6pig farms were different. The positive rate of wild virus (gE gene) antibody and neutralizing (gB gene) antibody of boar herds were both high, while positive rate of wild virus (gE gene) antibody was high and neutralizing (gB gene) antibody was low in growing-finishing pigs.2.The comparison immunization of three pseudorabies vaccinesTo compare the effections of Chinese pseudorabies vaccines and inported pseudorabies vaccines on piglets, immune comparision tests were carried at a pig farm (800sow) in Jiaxin, ZheJiang Province during April to July in2010. Totally160healthy piglets with the same weight were divided into four groups (each group40piglets):test group1(native made vaccine1), test group2(inported vaccine1), test group3(native made vaccine2) and control group. Test groups and control group were injected pseudorabies vaccines and PBS, respectively and the level of antibody, growing conditions and diseases were observed. No obvious differences on antibody level among piglets of the four groups before50ageindays were observed. Tweenty days(70ageindays) and40days(90ageindays) after injection, the antibody level of pseudorabies showed different status:group1and group2reached100%on average; group3reached90%; the control goup decreased from45%to25%. No obvious differences on daily gain among the four groups beween0to60ageindays were observed. But till90ageindays, the daily gain of group1and group2were both increased16%than the control group which shared the same daily gain as group3. The results indicated that the pseudorabies vaccines had good immunological protection against pseudorabies and some native made pseudorabies vaccines had the same even better immunological protection than inported one.
