The issue of stray cats has gradually become an urban issue of concern to the society as the number of abandoned pet cats has increased.Stray cats are everywhere and are mainly concentrated in residential areas,colleges and other places.The super reproductive ability of stray cats will cause the ecological imbalance of the city and pose a threat to other city organisms.At the same time,stray cats are the host or carrier of various infectious diseases such as rabies,cat catch fever,and toxoplasmosis,and these diseases may transmit humans through saliva,faeces and other channels.However,stray cats still have no mature laws and regulations in the country to regulate.The problem of stray cats is different in different cities.The public's awareness and attitude towards stray cats is still relatively vague.Therefore,for the sake of public health and the scientific governance of the city,it is necessary to popularize the general knowledge of stray cats.This paper finds out through the questionnaire that people lack a clear knowledge structure on the issues related to stray cats.Once people lack direct experience,their understanding of the topic will be a great reference to the news media.In recent years,the WeChat public platform has gradually become the main access to scientific information.Therefore,the dissemination of stray cat science articles on the WeChat public platform is closely related to the public's understanding of stray cats,and people's mastery of stray cats'knowledge and The attitude towards stray cats will even potentially influence the formulation of government public decision-making.It is of practical value to study popular science articles related to WeChat public platform and stray cat topics.This article focuses on popular science articles related to stray cats in the WeChat public platform.Using content analysis methods,the article categorizes popular science articles into four indicators:science,practicality,popularity,and communication effectiveness.The WeChat Science article describes and analyzes the data,so as to point out the overall features and existing deficiencies of the current popular science articles of the WeChat public platform,and put forward suggestions for popular science articles on the WeChat public platform.The content analysis found that the popular science article on stray cats has a low overall science-level score.The main characteristics of the article are as follows:(1)Articles are more practical and academic content is less.(2)popular science article is very interesting and has obvious emotional tendency.(3)Different self-media based on their own attributes and positions,there are differences in the number of articles devoted to stray cats.(4)The positioning of subscription numbers is closely related to the topics involved in stray cats.Different self-media have different popular science focus points for stray cats.The survey also found that the public's overall attitude towards stray cats is neutral or even favourable.However,people generally know little about the possible ecological effects of stray cats,the method of quantitative control of stray cats,and the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases.The survey also found that although the knowledge of the health risk of stray cats is relatively small,the public is very concerned about the possible health risks of stray cats,such as rabies,infections caused by stray cats,and the carrying of worms.In the choice of access to popular science articles,Volkswagen prefers social media and self-media based on scientific reports.In the reading preferences of popular science articles,the general public is more willing to accept the vivid expression rather than academic articles.According to the results of the survey,this article puts forward several suggestions for the writing of popular science articles on stray cats:(1)It is recommended that government agencies,hospital agencies,and other authoritative organizations increase social science knowledge of stray cats in social media;(2)Science popularization of stray cats The content remains objective and comprehensive;(3)The proposed article adopts a lively and concise way to popularize the stray cat issue;(4)Convert the popular science model and encourage the public to discuss stray cat topics.
