With the development of society and economy,the demand for water resources is increasing.Nowadays,the shortage of water resources has become a worldwide problem.China is a country with severe drought and water shortage.The total amount of fresh water resources in China is 2 trillion and 800 billion cubic meters,accounting for 6% of the world's water resources,ranking fourth in the world.But because of the large population base of our country,the amount of water resources per person is only 1/4 of the world's per capita water resources,and China is one of the countries with the most lack of per capita water resources in the world.However,one of the key factors restricts the development of social economic is water resources,which has seriously restricted the economic and social development of our country,and restricted the development of industry and agriculture,urban and social economic in China.At present,most of the irrigation facilities in China are built around 1960 s.With the construction of these irrigation facilities,China has raised the population of 25% of the world's total population in less than 7% of the total land area of the world and made the achievements of China's farmland irrigation.However,because most of the irrigation projects are unrepaired,their damage and aging are very serious,their matching is not perfect,the design standard of the engineering is not high,the layout is unreasonable,the irrigation management is not good and so on,which cause the phenomenon of excessive irrigation water consumption in irrigation area,thus reduce the irrigation water using coefficient.In view of the above situation,developing water-saving agriculture is a necessary way to solve the problem,and channel is one of the most commonly used ways of water conveyance.At present,there are many implementation departments of farmland water conservancy projects,and all departments can not unified planning in the process of engineering reform.The relevant parameters are mainly determined by experience and routine,and the standards are inconsistent,and lacking optimization and comparison of projects.So it is difficult to achieve optimal state in engineering design planning,resulting in waste of water resources and increasement of investment cost and energy consumption.It is not enough to solve the water conservation by solving design problems.We should combine the regulatory role of economic leverage to promote water saving through government propaganda and guidance.At present,the mechanism of the agricultural water price formulation is not perfect,theoverall price level is not high,and the irrigation district management units are not able to run behind expenses,which leads to the inadequate maintenance of water conservancy projects and the extensive use of agricultural water,which seriously restricts the sustainable development of the irrigation areas.In this paper,the irrigation channels in the farmland water conservancy project are taken as the research object.On the basis of analyzing and considering the relevant papers of current channel optimization and technologies theories,the problems and deficiencies of optimal design of irrigation channels are discussed.In view of the problem,taking the length of the channel and the size of the section as the decision variables and using the minimum cost of irrigation water supply as objective function to establish a nonlinear optimization model for irrigation channels.When optimizing the layout of the channel,combining with the information of topography,water source,the location of the irrigation area and size of irrigated area,and on the basis of the full reconnaissance of the designers,according to the principle of feasibility,all feasible irrigation channel layout plans are determined and we can import the defined project into the program through Excel and MATLAB data interaction.For the optimization of channel section size,integer coding is used to describe variables to improve the accuracy of the solution,and the MATLAB program is compiled.Finally,the channel optimization design model is applied to a specific engineering case.The final results show that this model can quickly and effectively determine the overall optimization of irrigation channels,including the optimal layout of the channels and the optimal size of the section,and can provide some reference for the establishment of reasonable water price,and reduce the cost of water supply while meeting the basic requirements of irrigation and saving water for irrigation irrigation.It has practical significance for the development of watersaving irrigation in China.
