Jujuba,the fruit of Ziziphus jujube Mill.belongs to Rhamnaceae,is used as food and medicine.It was reported that jujubes derived from central and east China showed certain cholesterol-lowering activity.The cholesterol-lowering activity of Ziziphus Jujuba cv.Jun zao was not reported so far.This article aim to investigate the cholesterol-lowering activity of the extracts from Z.Jujuba cv.Jun zao in Alar Xinjiang The specific research results are as follows:1.Preparation for samples and determination of active components: The ethanol reflux was used to extract fresh and dried Jun zao,then system extraction method was employed to extract the ethanol condensate successively and produced petroleum ether extract,chloroform extract,ethyl acetate extract and n-butanol extract and the water phase of both fresh and dried Jun zao.The determination of active components of all extracts was carried out by using spectrophotometry.The water extract of fresh Jun zao contains maximum total sugar of 60 g/100 g,the ethyl acetate extract of fresh Jun zao contains maximum flavonoid of 259.3 mg/100 g and polyphenol of 25 mg/g,respectively.2.Hypolipidemic activity test in vitro and in vivo: The extracts of chloroform and ethanol from dried Jun zao,and those of chloroform,ethyl acetate and water from fresh Jun zao showed hypolipidemic effect in vitro.Each samples were had different degrees of influence on blood lipid level of mice after the experiment of hyperlipidemia model,especially fresh jujube high dose group of ethyl acetate extract on the hyperlipemia mice TC had significantly lower(p<0.01),fresh jujube high dose group of the water phase on the hyperlipemia mice TC had significantly lower(p<0.01);Samples of fresh jun jujube crude polysaccharide had different degree reduced on hyperlipemia mice TG,TC and LDL-C,increased on HDL-C.This suggests that jun jujube cholesterol lowering activity,and the activity of fresh jujube higher than dried.With increasing of sample concentration,hypolipidemic effects,the better.3.Isolation and identification of the chemical components from ethyl acetate extract: 3 compounds were separated from the ethyl acetate extract and identificated by the the joint utilization of column chromatography and HPLC,as well as the spectroscopic methods including 1H NMR and 13 C NMR.They were elucidated as quercetin-3-O-?-D-galactoside,quercetin-3-O-?-D-glucopyranoside and Kaempferol 3,7-L-dirhamnoside,respectively.4.Preparation of hyperlipemia product: Fresh Jun zao was extracted and precipitated by ethanol.Precipitation and supernatant were obtained vacuum freeze-drying method and freeze-dried by and produced the dried powder.measured the moisture,specific volume,solubility,moisture absorption rate,nutrition and health indicators.
