With the improvement of people's living quality, the requirement for human to treat injury and disease becomes higher and higher.Although the traditional repair methods such as autologous tissue transplant and allogeneic organ transplant can receive a certain curative effect, they may lead to a lot of complications and additional damages. Therefore,it's hard to satisfy people's need by traditional methods, and finding a new treating method becomes an urgent need.Nowadays, the development of tissue engineering and manufacturing technology pointed a new way for the treatment of such diseases, which gives a hope for thousands of patients who need organ transplantation and tissue repair. In this paper, rapid prototyping technology was proposed and utilized to prepare the bioscaffold for repairing the laryngeal cartilage injury.Considering the merits and disadvantages of various kinds of cartilage materials, the chitosan-hydroxyapatite and gelatin-sodium alginate assisted with the low temperature rapid prototyping and cell controlled assembly technology were selected to fabricate the bioscaffold for tissue engineering.Meanwhile, the physiochemical properties and bioactivity were characterized, results showed the fabricated bioscaffold mee t the requirements of tissue engineering, which may pave a new way for the future research. In the first part of the paper, the chitosan-hydroxyapatite scaffold with different ratio was produced by rapid prototyping technology at low temperature. The fabricated scaffolds possessed three-dimensional structure, high permeability and porosity. The porous structure can facilitate the cell attachment and allow vascular tissue to grow.Additionally,it could provide enough space for the growing and proliferation of seed cells. Results of in vitro test showed that seeding cell could grow on the fabricated scaffold without obvious cytotoxicity. In the second part, the composite scaffolds were prepared directly with mixed cell and gelatin-sodium alginate by controlled assembly technology. Results after incubation the composite scaffold showed that cells possessed good morphology and exhibited considerable proliferation, which provided the reliable basis for further research and future application in clinical.
