Objective: To observe the clinical curative effect of SiCao Yin in treating liver yang hyperactivity type of vertigo patients, comparisons between recurrence score and the degree of disability.Compared with Sibeline capsule,to investigate the effect of SiCao Yin on the treatment of vertigo and its effect on the quality of life of patients.Explore the therapeutic effect and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of vertigo. Methods: 80 patients were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.40 cases in control group were treated with Sibeline capsule.40 cases in treatment group were treated with SiCao Yin.Observe the effect before and after the treatment, including clinical effect,Vertigo disability score,TCM diversity index, transcranial Doppler diversity index, hemorheology diversity index and recurrence rate.Results:1 The comparison of clinic effect:The total efficiency was 92.50% in the treatment group and 85.00% in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).2 The comparison of TCM symptom points: In the two groups after treatment, both of the TCM symptom points declined. There were significant differences(P<0.01).The TCM symptom points in the treatment group declined more than the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).3 The comparison of Disability degree of vertigo score: After treatment in the two groups, both of the degree of vertigo score were significantly improved. There were significant differences(P<0.01).This shows that both of the control group and the treatment group can effectively reduce the patient disability score. After treatment, the score of treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group,There were significant differences(P<0.05),The results showed that the treatment group was better than the conthol group in improving the quality of life of patients.4 Comparing the transcranial Doppler indexes before and after the treatment,it can be seen that: in the treated group, great difference is caused by the treatment, indicating statistical significance(P<0.05);in the reference group, both the RVA and BA of diastole after the treatment show no statistical significances(P>0.05)than before, while other indexes show statistical significances.Comparing the indexes of the treated group with those of reference group, great differences can be found and show statistical significances, except of RVA of diastole.5 The comparison of blood rheological indexes: After treatment in the two groups, the shear rate of whole blood viscosity and the low shear rate of the treatment group improved more than the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The plasma viscosity and the high shear rate of the treatment group improved more than the control group, but the difference was no significant(P>0.05).6 The comparison of recurrence rate indez: The total recurrence rate was 5% in the treatment group and 12.5% in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).7 Safety observation: During the period of clinical observation, treatment group haven’t appear harmful response. Conclusions: SiCaoYin can significantly improve liver yang hyperactivity type of vertigo patients with recurrence score 、the degree of disability hemorheoiogy diversity index and TCD diversity index. It can improve the quality of life of patients and reduce the recurrence rate.Especially for Liver yang hyperactivity type of vertigo,it has good clinical curative effect. In the future,we can expand the sample size to test the result.
