Objective: To observe the effect of Qiangjing Decoction on the Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase of testis epididymis in rats with oligoastheno zoospermia.Methods: 75 healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 group s: the blank group,the model group,the Qiangjing Decoction small dose group,the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group,and Huang Jingz anyu capsule group?n = 15?.Delivery methods: the blank group:normal saline given daily;the model group: ORN?800mg/kg?given daily;the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group : ORN?800mg/kg?+Huang Jingzanyu capsule?1.11g/kg?given daily;the Qiangjing Decoction small dose group: ORN?800mg/kg?+ Qiangjing Decoction granules?6g/kg?given daily;the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group: ORN?800mg/kg?+ Qiangjing Decoction granules?12g/kg?given daily.Each rat was given 4ml of each solution once a day for four consecutive weeks.24 hours after the last dose,we took the testis and epiepididymis all of the rats and then weight them,took the epididymis tail to test sperm concentration and vitality;took the testis to test Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase;randomly took one side of the testis from each group to learn the pathology and structure.Results:1?The testis coefficient and epididymis coefficient of the other groups decreased except the blank group,especially the model group?P <0.05?.The Qiangjing Decoction small dose group is lower than the the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group?P<0.05?.2?The sperm concentration and vitality of the model group is signifi-cantly lower than the blank group?P <0.05?,while no significant diffe-rence is shown amount the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group?P> 0.05?and they are significantly higher than the model group?P <0.05?,but lower than the blank group?P <0.05?.The Qiangjing Decoction small dose group is lower than the the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group,the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group and the blank group?P<0.05?,but higher than the model group?P <0.05?3?The Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase of testis and sperm of the model group and the Qiangjing Decoction small dose group are signific-antly decreased and lower than the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group?P <0.05?,but the latter two is lower than the blank group?P <0.05?.There are no significant difference for Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase between the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group?P> 0.05?.4?In the blank group,the testis structure is clear and the spermatogeni c cells are complete and aligned and produce sperm actively.In the model group,the seminiferous epithelium is dropped and out of order,the sperm count is significantly decreased and there are a small amount of metamorphic or dead spermatogenic cells.In the Qiangjing Decoction small dose group,part of the seminiferous epithelium recover and produce a few sperm.The Qiangjing Decoction high dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group are close to the blank group on the structure,just there are a fewer sperm than the blank group.Johnsen scores of the model group are significantly lower than the other groups?P <0.05?.There are no significant difference on Johnsen scores among the Qiangjing Decoction high dose group,the Qiangjing Decoction small dose group and the Huang Jingzanyu capsule group?P> 0.05?,but their Johnsen scores are lower than the blank group?P <0.05?.Conclusions: Qiangjing Decoction can fix the structure damage of the testis and epid-idymis caused by ornidazole,increase activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase,improve sperm concentration and vitality and normal sperm-atogenesis,which may be one of the mechanisms of Qiangjing Decoction healing the oligoasthenospermia.
