[Objective] To conduct the risk assessment of the major occupational hazards of a 2×600MW coal-fired power unit and discuss the emphases on the prevention.[Methods] We gathered additional material and data to know the potential occupational hazards of the power station in general by adopting a method combining field survey and field test. Then we conducted the risk assessment on the workers' exposure level of occupational harmful factors and the influence degree of occupational health, according to the quantitative classification standard of occupational-disease-prevention measures and the personal protection level.[Results] Some jobs of dust, noise and heat were graded slight harm, and the concentration of chemical poison meet the standard. Thereinto, the dust was tested on 22 operation points, with 90.9%of qualification rate. Noise test was on 14 points, with 71.4%of qualification rate. Heat was conducted on 2 points and none of them meet the standard. Chemical poison was detected on 19 points and all were succeed.[Conclusion] The power plant has taken some protective measures for occupational hazards; and the major harmful factors are dust, noise, heat, needing the key protection.
