| ObjectiveTo detect the expression level of micro RNA-205 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasopharynx chronic inflammatory tissues by real time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR),analyzing the relationship between the expression level of micro RNA-205 and the clinical parameters of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. And to explore the value of micro RNA-205 as a tumor marker in the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and it’s role in the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and to provide the experimental and theoretical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Materials and MethodsThe paraffin-embedded tissues of 52 patients who were first diagnosed with nasopharyngeal poorly differentiated non-squamous cell carcinoma in the first affiliated hospital of Zheng Zhou University act as nasopharyngeal carcinoma group, the control group involved in the paraffin-embedded tissues of 20 patients who were diagnosed with nasopharynx chronic inflammation in our hospital contemporaneously. To detect the expression of micro RNA-205 in paraffin-embedded tissues of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasopharynx chronic inflammation by real time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR). Results1 The expression level of micro RNA-205 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients was significantly higher than that in nasopharyngeal chronic inflammation, the difference has statistically significance(P<0.05);Further more, micro RNA-205 show a higher expression level in the patients with lymph node metastasis, or infected by EB virus, and the patients in III ~ IV stage than that of the patients without lymph node metastasis or EB virus infection and that patients inⅠ~Ⅰ stage respectively( P<0.05);2 There was no significant difference on expression level of micro RNA-205 in the patients of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) between different gender and age subgroups(P>0.05); Conclusions1 Micro RNA-205 may play an important role in the carcinogenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma;2 Micro RNA-205 may provide a new way for genetic therapy against nasopharyngeal carcinoma. |
