Purpose By inspecting the blood trace elements of oral cancer patients, healthy adults and patients after surgery,to explore the relationship between oral cancer and blood trace elements as plumbum, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan area, to provide a theoretical basis for whether it is necessary to add related nutrition support.Method Select 127 cases of patients with oral cancer, all of whom has been confirmed on histopathology, 101 of the 127 cases chewed betel before and 26 cases didn't,using the method of atomic absorption spectrum to determine the serum trace elements in the 127 cases of patients. Then select 150 cases of healthy people, who has been largely ruled out malignant tumors(through basic medical inspection projects), using the same methods to determine the serum trace elements. 60 cases of the mentioned 127 cases of patients have accepted the oral carcinoma radical resection + neck lymph node cleaning operation. 51 cases of the 60 cases have done flap restoration operation(including pectoralis major myocutaneous flap, free forearm free flap and femoral anterolateral flap). 9 cases of the 60 cases haven't accepted the flap repair. 2 months after the surgical treatment, inspect the serum trace elements again and compare the results with the previous data. two samples comparison used student's t test. Results 1.Data analysis revealed a marked, progressive and significant increase in Cu, Pb, Ca, and Cu/Zn levels in cancer group as compared to the normal group, while a marked and significant decrease in Mg, Zn, Fe levels in cancer group as compared to the normal group. This difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).2. Data analysis showed a significant increase in Cu, Pb, and Cu/Zn levels in patients who chewed betel quid as compared to the patients who didn't,while a marked and significant decrease in Zn levels in patients who chewed betel quid as compared to the patients who didn't(P<0.05).3.The comparison made from the patients before and after the related surgical treatment shows that the Fe content is significantly lower than the preoperative group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion 1.In Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan area, the blood trace elements Pb, Cu, Ca, Cu/Zn level of malignant tumor patients show a positive correlation with oral cancer, Fe, Zn, Mg show a negative correlation with oral malignant tumor.2.Chewing betel can help in rising the blood Pb, Cu, Cu/Zn level, it may be related to the occurrence of oral cancer.3.After surgical treatment, trace element iron levels obviously decreased, We need to make a supplement after surgery.
